This one cuts deep. Everywhere I look it feels like people are just shouting the same thing louder and louder, repeating themselves until it becomes truth. Power grabs dressed up in patriotism. Lies packaged as freedom. Voices bouncing around until we forget what’s real.

I had to ask myself: Is this really what we wanted? Is this what America has become?

The irony of this song is that it sounds like a choir, but it’s really about the emptiness of hearing only your own echo. By the end, I wanted the question to hang heavy: Is this the chorus we’re willing to sing, or are we brave enough to write a new one together?
