Naive proudly presents "summers_of_love" from London's ELLES. This
release, ELLES's first for Naive, follows her 2019 release
"emo_ecstasy_everything" on Naive's experimental sub-label, Naivety.

Skipping beats and heavy bass permeate the EP, a four-track mixture of
deep lows and smooth highs, as well as reverb-drenched vocals from
ELLES herself. It's a melodic ode to melancholy moments spent in clubs
and broken romances captured in the snapshots of a strobe. Piano
chords and 303 grooves call back to early house and rave tunes while
percussive sounds, spread wide and loose, express the lineage of
garage and early dubstep influences.

Moody, even wistful at times, "sumemrs_of_love" is a thoughtful dance
record with an emotional punch.

As sound systems fall silent across the country in response to COVID-19, we’ve seen our party series Cabin Fever grind to a halt.

Although it was hard watching months of careful planning and hard work erased, we recognise the impact of this crisis goes much deeper than a few cancelled parties, so we decided to channel our energy into something more positive.

'Remote Access' is a collection of music sourced from both core members of our CF family, and a handful of our favourite producers operating in the UKs underground scene.

100% of proceeds for this release will go towards The Trussell Trust, supporting a nationwide network of food banks which are currently under an unprecedented level of pressure.

199 & Friends - Fae

Ambient soundscapes, dubbed out chords and swirling arps: Subtle Oscillations is a compilation of blissful sonic textures from a collection of up and coming producers associated with the Size 13 collective.

Opening the EP is the luscious and dub infused “Candle Lit” from Manchester producer 4TGANG. The soothing vocals and gradually building percussive elements of the track leave the listener in a state of euphoria.

Tortuga, co-founder and resident of Size 13 follows on from Candle Lit with a 7 minute journey of sound. Ambient breakdowns and wonky synths can be heard alongside the constant flow of running water on this one. 

Reaching the energetic climax of the EP, Still Sinking is a deep and wobbly breakbeat grooves, with chopped vocal samples and melodic synth chords to accompany the shuddering bassline.

Persona Audio takes on the 4th track with “Midnight Express”. Atmospheric pads and soothing chords over a brilliantly programmed house beat, this tune is a perfect tune for the end of a set/ the after party.

Closing the EP, Gibbin’s “Butter Knife” is a downtempo stroke of genius. Sharp synth lines and syncopated drum beats have seen this tune picked up and played by DJ Python and Ciel.
