Dublin rising star @sputnik_one lands on @facta and @k-lone93’s @wisdomteeth-uk with his most accomplished record yet: a flawless four-tracker of mutant dancefloor gear that draws on broken UK techno, psychedelic tribal, footwork and ravey post-hardcore. 

There are echoes of Shackleton and Olof Dreijer in ‘Love From Above’ and ‘Michael Cera’, whilst ‘Microbead’ and ‘Powder’ offer refreshed and refined takes on modern post-dubstep / post-hardcore club styles. 

Across the record the tempo creeps from 130 to 150, keeping all bases covered as late summer ravers migrate towards darker autumn dancefloors.

After an intriguing debut appearance on Lobster Theremin’s PLUR compilation in 2020, New York’s Talker prepares his debut on Cheeky Sneakers with four varying cuts of emotive breakbeat and squelchy electro NRG.

‘Information’ takes the swaying aesthetics and waved basslines of contemporary breaks and wraps it in a digital ribbon; a periodic dip into a post-humanoid world where information is no longer something we consume, but something we have become. Delicate melodies swirl above the clouds leading the raver to their inevitable peak, before large kicks and percussive power sparks the fuse with a flurry of gun fingers and hands ascending towards new heights.

‘Da Business’ again wraps its electronic sequence in a modern blanket with elements of grime, garage and electro taking it in turns to wow and delight; a distinctive, lairy UK energy moulds together with ice-like synth work on an emotional trip that packs a punch, before the B-side is introduced on ‘X’, a squelching cut of acid-electro made for late nights and strobe lights.

‘Echolation’ finishes things off the way it stated - cinematic breakbeat that invites the listener to take a moment for themselves on the dancefloor, looking inward for moments of private contemplation as the euphoria is pushed increasingly outward.

Originally from Normandy now residing in the country's capital, French DJ and producer Adam Boufeldja (aka Adam BFD) has been making a serious name for himself, having put out a string of self-released singles and through his own self-titled Youtube channel.

Adam’s tracks have always been vivid, detailed portraits; drawing from memories and influences from around the world, and his latest EP on Running Out Of Steam is no exception; using his eclectic tastes to produce a record truly unique, and brimming with personality.

‘I’ll be walking’ meanders through an always evolving city, creating space and sense of an otherwise chaotic and fleeting world. The track’s softly spoken synths hold the torch, while the effortless drums walk us home. ‘Call A Taxi’ follows suit, a fruitful marriage between shuffling drum patterns and hypnotic tones, while the track's subtle low-end provides the glue; closing off an A side that feels more like a story being told than another dance-floor memento.

Title track ‘No Advice’ launches the B side on a slightly more ominous tone, in a microcosmic portrait of opposing forces; before ‘An Ode To La Condesa’ glides through like a letter from an old friend, the smell of fresh ink still prevalent on the page as we’re whisked away through the wide-tree lined avenues of La Condesa. The EP comes to a close with ‘For The Good Times’ combining nostalgic tinged leads, forward-marching drums and sprawling pads that act as a backdrop to another highly impressive EP from one of France’s best emerging artists.

Next up on eudemonia is the Frankfurt-based duo ‚not even noticed‘. With only a couple of vinyl releases during the last years the two artists are relatively new to the scene. However their sound is perfectly produced and meets the tooth of time. The ‚No More Waiting‘ EP consists of five outstanding futuristic electro and breaks-influenced tracks each going into their own direction. Premiere: Raybee - Asteroid (Ecliptic Sound)

For the first naivetape we welcome Caroline Lethô (@carolineletho), real name Carolina Mimoso. She was shaped by Algarve's warmth, where she was born and raised. The simultaneously dense and light atmosphere of the South transpires to the music she makes and the music she chooses to play: her spiral of references has melody and depth as focal points of a free (but skilfully driven) journey through the most captivating corners of dance music.

As one of the youngest composers and DJs of vanguard dance music operating from Lisbon, she represents a voice that urgently needs to be heard. Maybe through poetic justice, and definitely through work, she's now part to some of the most active platforms in the promotion of new perspectives: SONJA's Labareda, where Carolina released her track 'Give Peace a Chance', Extended Recrods, the label to which she contributed a track to its most recent compilation, AVNL where she released her first EP and Rádio Quântica, where she broadcasts her String Theory, from Lisbon to the world, every month.

A DJ that is confident and adventurous beyond her years, she guides us with spot-on intuition between deep house and acid, disco and rock, EBM and IDM, UK Garage and some of the most creative techno out there. Sweat out your worries and use your head for one thing only: memorising her name.

No one is cuter than PHOEBE full stop. here's one of the hardest working mfs in Lisbon's new generation of music people. bruno runs the incredible Troublemaker Records which helped bring to live the work of iconic legends like NESS Herlander and Killian. He is also an unparallel artist, producer and DJ in his own right. His range of music to pick from is quite astonishing -  whenever we talk about music i'm like this is a bottomless pit honey. from sufjan stevens to hard as nails electro to modern rnb and more. hearing him play in a club is such a sweet experience, like you're being gently taken from vibe to vibe by the hand of someone who FEELS. having PHOEBE bless the Lisbon scene is immesurably lucky for everyone and that's that on that.
