Recorded back around the Christmas of 2019. I was in a dark place both man made and in reaction to fate. This never saw the light of day for whatever reason - thankfully I've grown a lot since this mixes conception and I breathe a lot clearer now. 

Shoutout Kn1ps for hitting me up regardless and making this mix a reality even if it didn't cross the water. This mix was only possible through the great work of Laura from the NHS who's therapy and kindness/wisdom truly helped. I cannot recommend therapy enough especially when dealing with abuse, trauma and grief.

Solace From The Sun is the long-awaited debut album from Ichiro Tanimoto, leader of Tokyo-based trance cult Minna-no-kimochi and
founder of the label Mizuha 罔象 @mizuha-cc, both of which are at the forefront of the neo-trance movement in Japan.

The album contains 14 blissed-out, post-rave tracks, including a collaboration with Silént Phil, a Russian electronic musician who passed away in 2021. The artwork is by Kazuma Watanabe, graphic designer for the Minna-no-kimochi collective.

Since empathy involves understanding the emotional states of other people, the way it is characterized is derived from the way emotions themselves are characterized.
