Two months after Paul van Dyk’s weeklong run at Beatport’s #1 with his Ummet Ozcan collaboration, ‘Come With Me’, the electronic music savant brings dancefloor citizens another clean-through-the-hoop slam-dunk! ‘Only In A Dream’ provides PvD fans old & new with another enticing hint as to what lies inside the forthcoming ‘The Politics Of Dancing 3’ ‘box’. 

Having caught PvD’s ear in a remarkably short space of time, the co-production chair for ‘Dream’ is shared with bright-young-studio-things Jessus & Adham Ashraf. In keeping with their quickly propagating sounds, the Columbian/ Egyptian pairing channel trancier frequencies into the track.
Equipping ‘Only In A Dream’ with its embracive once-heard/never-forgotten vocal is English singer/song-writer Tricia McTeague. No stranger to music’s upper tier, she’s worked previously with esteemed producers like Nile Rodgers and Narada Michael Walden; has sung support for legends like Lionel Ritchie & Elton John and now grafts her Morissette/Vega-like expressionism, chapter & verse into Paul & Co’s, ‘Dream’. 
van Dyk’s own versions cover the homebase with the Original Mix ready to chuck the ear of radio, while its Club Mix compatriot zeroes straight to the heart of the dancefloor. 
Remix-wise, VANDIT Records master sergeant Chris Bekker drops a booming near-instrumental vision, with lucent melodies, 303 sonics and canyon-like depth to its production. Owen Westlake - previously known for his rewires of tracks by Tiësto and others - drops ‘Only In A Dream’ further into the deep house frame. Hookily looping and shadowing its chorus, in & out of the production fabric, he stirs Dream’s waters even deeper.

Roger Shah Exclusive Mix September 2015



Berlin meets Casablanca, this is how you could describe this project by Namito and Brams from Morocco. A chance meeting at the legendary Riverside studio complex in Berlin Kreuzberg lead to them joining forces to make music.

The results are two fresh sounding pieces of positive, almost spiritual house music with no real limits or boundaries. Yto takes you on a journey of colourful soundscapes and hypnotising melodies accompanied by a trademark driving groove from the Berlin based producer with Iranian roots, Namito.

Systematic boss Marc Romboy pulled in two of his favourites on remix duty. Artists he knew he could trust when it came to creating new interpretations of the beautiful original. Ruede Hagelstein and Gabriel Ananda instantly agreed and delivered two outstanding and more importantly, touching new versions of Yto.

Dear friends of Connaisseur,
In our scene, a decade is a long time.
When we started the label, we didn't have a master plan, we simply wanted to put out good music we loved, of which we were sure others would love it as well. The way Connaisseur subsequently grew came naturally. If you are music lovers like we are, current musical tendencies will of course always have an infuence on your sound,but basically we stayed true to ourselves and our core has always stayed the same. Yes, we love melodies, yes, we love deepness and yes, we love great emotions, but in which electronic style these are conveyed, is rather secondary. That is our leitmotif, from "Eve By Day" until today and every day to come.
For our anniversary release, we had the idea of asking for collaborations only, as we like the energy of two creative minds coming together and creating something special. Some of the chosen couples had already worked together, others had not. As a result, we now have 6 collaborations, which will be released digitally in two parts and as a selection of three tracks from the two parts on a very nice, limited vinyl.
We are very happy about the variety of styles we have received: From modern trance in the best possible manner f r o m Olderic and Peter Pardeike, over timeless Detroit-infuenced techno-guardian sound by the two legends Aril Brikha and Chymera, start-of-the-art melodic tech-house from our fgureheads Lehar and Musumeci, a cover-version of the 90ies alternative rock classic „Pets“ from Pornos for Pyros by our norse darlings Of Norway in collaboration with the Scandinavian pop- star Linnea Dale and the multi-instrumentalist Preben Olram, a Warp-style electronica pearl by the Wareika sidekick project Silky Raven together with Hamburg club-dj legend Solaris 100, to last but not least a techy guarantor by Maltese pirate The Element and Connaisseur label head Alex Flitsch.
This is part two of 10y of Connaisseur featuring Aril Brikha & Chymera, The Element & Alex Flitsch and Of Norway & Linnea Dale & Preben Olram.

After REBOLLEDO’s successful debut album SUPER VATO (CÓMEME CD LP 01) from two thousand eleven, his highly praised mix CD MOMENTO DRIVE (KOMPAKT CD 117) from two thousand fourteen, and all-around mayhem during his adventures as one half of the Pachanga Boys, Xalapa's finest returns with his second solo album MONDO ALTERADO: a recollection of moments and experiences from recent years, colorful mnemonics encompassing the brightest and the darkest. The result is a kind of soundtrack for a movie that doesn't exist, a sonic journey designed like a mixtape that faithfully reflects Rebolledo's background as DJ and producer. Nine tracks connect for one overarching narrative, sharing elements, motives, details, as they blend together. The artist's signature can be found all over the place, roaming between straight, rock-drenched drumming, sinister atmospheres, raw synth textures, exciting peaks and foggy bottoms - but always following the kinetic flow and relentless drive which are such a big part of Rebolledo's compelling charme.
