Nance Wilson is a UK jazz vocalist who is now based in Queenstown, New Zealand. Nance and Queenstown jazz pianist Mark Rendall Wilson have formed a new jazz duo, 'Jazzicology', performing with multi-instrumentalist Cliff Leatherbarrow on double bass. Jazzicology will be performing at venues in and around Queenstown from April 2021 onwards and are available to book for events, festivals and parties.

Background:
Nance trained in the UK with Pete Churchill, Nick Weldon and Andra Sparks at the UK Jazz School [jazzschool.co.uk], and with Paolo Vera, Pete Churchill and Andrea Vicari at the International Jazz Summer School in the Dordogne, France. 

Recordings & projects:
Alongside live performance work, Nance continues to collaborate on original compositions and 'vocalese' projects with UK jazz musician Sid Thomas, via their interconnected recording studio facilities in Kent, UK and Queenstown, NZ. They have previously recorded two collections of material: 'Loss Aversion' and 'The Country Side of Jazz', combining jazz standards with original material by Sid Thomas.  A third collection of new recordings is currently in progress; the first of which, 'Innocenti', is now available.

In addition to recording projects, Nance has held residencies at UK hotels, and performed at gigs in London and Hertfordshire.
