Then, as the musical landscape turns Blood Orange, your Father Hormone levels will increase amongst psychedelic rock beats as you naturally drift along the flow of Styx & Stoned. You will feel peacefully drawn into the marine realm of a Love Trip and eventually lift up to the sky surrounded by Shades Of Grey. Along this intense musical path, you will fall to the scent of Namisan and breathe the halo of Gonda, temporarily resting into Ethernal Peace before shedding Heveya Tears of joy. Drawing energy from the shifting sands of global music, sonic alchemist Temple Step beckons listeners on a sensory journey through movement, ritual, and binaural sound in his 2020 album, ‘Tribe.’ A fusion of influences bygone and new, this visionary offering invokes the spirit of ceremonial sound as it beams through the lens of tribal electronica and conscious dance culture, incorporating elements of global bass, organic house, emotive downtempo, and shamanic music into a dazzling tale of styles traversing the shapeshifting landscapes of time. Sewn with old-world instrumental work, mesmerising vocals, and surges of deep, undulating bass, Temple Step’s dynamic compositions balance force and elegance with a storyteller’s precision to unearth the magical, healing essence of world music as it bends to humankind’s unshakeable desire to move, meditate, and create across times luminous and dark.

06 Beluen

Using original recordings from the mountains of Nepal, the deserts of India and the jungles of Australia and Central America,  Nango Manchay  has learned and incorporated instruments from all corners of the earth to create an original sound the spans borders and traditional genres.

The result is the expansive album  Under Our Sun which was released on  Desert Trax  on  April 5th 2019. From the opening hit of Varanasi Flame to the closing notes of Diambura the Nango Manchay sound envelops and hypnotizes. The guitarist and sitar player also features on the seminal album  Grouch in Dub and his lush string sound has found a home on  Desert Dwellers label. Nango Manchay’s music is filled with gorgeous melody at each stop along the cosmic journey. Rich, pulsing midtempo breaks and more intricate downtempo and bass-centric musings are held together by the connective thread of real bowed, plucked and strummed strings. 

“Under Our Sun  is a tribute to the unification of humanity and the common goals of peace and understanding that is an underlying part of what makes us all human,” he notes “We are all under the same sun, we share this planet together and this album represents many cultures uniting to create music of beauty that reflects the awe and grandeur of nature, our shared home and the depths of our own consciousness.”

Nango Manchay has collaborated with many artists and has releases planned with Desert Dwellers and Nanosphere over the next year as well as a new Nango Manchay EP.
