Hypnocoustics has gone deep on this his third artist album, and album debut on Nano Records. Within the music of 'Liminal Existence' Hypnocoustics has meticulously weaved a sonic tapestry of found sound, ambient textures inspired by early avant-garde electronic recordings and studio recordings of his own making in with his own signature psychedelic sounds, melodies and grooves.

Being tucked away in his English countryside cottage during pandemic related Lockdowns gave Hypnocoustics time to focus on careful orchestration and production of all the tracks, and it shows. 'Liminal Existence' reveals an artist stretching past boundaries and trying new things, while keeping everything conceptually inside a perfectly curated framework.

In many respects this is an album of 'mosts' for Hypnocoustics. There are tracks and moments on Liminal Existence where you will find Hypnocoustics at his most psychedelic, most intense, most atmospheric, most powerful, most experimental, most dance-floor-satisfying and most precise, and this is all for the best, as it showcases an artist who has escaped his comfort zone and strived for artistic authenticity, while laying out a journey through music for the listener.

Amongst all these moments are also included four collaborations, each with their own very unique directions, and Hypnocoustics has done a great job of combining his characteristic feel with those of Mandala, Pogo, Collin Bennun and Dirty Saffi, ensuring Liminal Existence is an intoxicating blend of psychedelic dancefloor sublimity.

Drawing inspiration from the multiple revelations life shares when we are open to giving and receiving from the infinite wisdom of the universe, Mandala has spent two years carefully crafting his new album.

Musical shapes shift gently into place revealing 3D sonic mandalas that echo the geometric nature of all that surrounds us. As drops in the ocean of consciousness expand and contract from a single point, mandalas are portals to deeper meanings and deeper connections, and Mandala has set his intentions to share this with the world through his music.

Big bass lines and grooves drive every song on 'Multiple Revelations', with calming atmospheres and progressions layering below funky riffs and other-worldly psychedelic leads.

Full of amazing solo work, 'Multiple Revelations' also features three amazing collaborations, with Tristan, Hypnocoustics and Braincell (as their collaboration project Undercover Babas).

Spectrum once again spotlights exciting talent, proudly welcoming German rising star KAUFMANN to the label with her electrifying double release, 'John Otto' / 'Bald Ponytail'.
 
Renowned for her high-energy DJ sets, KAUFMANN has impressively translated that intensity into her productions. With her own blend of thumping kicks and gnarly synths, she has already caught the attention of techno heavyweight Oliver Huntemann who has championed her work with releases on his Senso Sounds imprint.
 
'John Otto' sets the tone on her Spectrum debut, inspired by the raw, unrelenting energy of the legendary nu-metal drummer. With punchy beats, psy-trance-inspired synth stabs, and a groovy bassline, the track delivers a euphoric punch that's primed for peak-time floors.
 
On the flip, 'Bald Ponytail' locks listeners into a hypnotic groove with its call-and-response interplay of rattling bass stabs and siren-like vocal chops. Add in wild synth one-shots, intricate drum fills, and an explosive final drop, and you've got a track destined to send dancefloors into overdrive.
 
No limp bizkits here, just two sure shots for maximum dancefloor impact.

Inspired by a lysergic fuelled poem by Allen Ginsberg, Hypnocoustics takes us on a journey off the beaten track riding on gigantic waves, that lift mist above exquisitely swaying ferns, where every flower is Buddha-eyed and orchards send out thoughts and manifest language.

This two track Ep feels like classic Hypnocoustics, strong and deep grooves roll underneath warm textures and ascending melodies that spin into space as geometric objects splinter and float past your eyes.

...it's quite a trip!
