Born in Los Angeles, California on November 4, 1991 and having grown up on 67th and Haas, Scotty Laflare hails from a musical background.

His grandparents, father and uncle played a large part in his interest in music. From the time his family peaked his interest in the arts, Scotty Laflare was destined for a career in the music industry. This songwriter/artist first started making music when he was only nine years old. He played multiple instruments, including keyboard, drums, flute, and trumpet. To add to that, the young prodigy also performed in the choir and began making beats. Family is key to Scotty Laflare, so it is no surprise he followed in the footsteps of those who came before him. Performing is in his blood. He strives to give his listeners all of him through his lyrics and music. In fact, it is the reason he has the stage name “Scotty Laflare”. A childhood friend began calling him by that name because of his ability to freestyle in such a way that he painted a lyrical photograph of his surroundings. He truly has a way with words, which lends to his artistic credibility and speaks volumes of his talent. 

Scotty Laflare musical influences include 2Pac, Jay-Z, Drake, Aaliyah, Al Green, and James Brown, among others. His favorite producers are 40 Drakes, Dr. Dre and London on the Track.

He looks up to his father and uncle as business influences. Scotty Laflare also admires the business acumen of famous trailblazers such as Russell Simmons, Jay-Z, Steve Jobs, and Josh Altman. Scotty Laflare aspires to become an entrepreneur who can not only reach lofty financial goals, but one who can help people around him. He plans to make a point of giving back to his community through various ventures. One of his goals is to build an organization to assist people suffering from cancer. His plans include providing financial support to the families of cancer patients by offering items including food and gifts while the patient fights the disease. One of his future organization’s goals is to raise money to help economically disadvantaged youth be able to afford to attend college.

This stellar artist hopes to be able to travel around the world to showcase his art, including visiting Dubai for both his art and business endeavors. Scotty Laflare is preparing to live out his dreams through his art, as he gets ready to take his place among the stars. The world will most definitely be seeing much more of him in decades to come.
