Malakye Grind received its first major radio airplay with the single "Mind Buzz" as a band of 18 yr old grunge rockers back in the early 90's. MG are back!!

The band played a small but significant role in the Australian music scene with headline and support tours with major festivals and Australian touring bands of the day - in a short period of time MG played 100's of shows in Australia gathering a following of commited fans that revelled on their energetic shows and grungy sound. Music and lifestyles changed seeing the members disband and move onto different scenes of the Australian and USA music industries. Some 15 years later the band reformed for a series of live shows and subsequent new demo recordings in preparation for the bands full album release of new songs (and a few reworked favorites) due for release early 2021. 

Malakye Grind's second release and first full length album "Music for Midnight People" reveals a band of life long friends making rock music at full throttle. The bands 12 track LP sends grunge, punk and funk grooves into the midnight hours bridging dusk and dawn with Smith’s potent lyrics and the bands raw sound exploring the light and shadow of a good time. 
With “Music for Midnight People” Malakye Grind revisits the classic long play archetype paying homage to the great days of rock album releases. Written and recorded over 12 months in Australia and the U.S and mixed by heavy weight engineer Forrester Savell the bands new music delivers. MG has never sounded better and has never been so ready to enter the main stage.
