This set is for the books, for us to rekindle that beautiful complex community moment full of sensual expression over and over again. Tantric Love was injected into this musical journey from start to finish to experience the many shades of you.

This was a temple night in its finest form. I can tell you how much i enjoyed creating the vibe that was already channeling through me through the Nature, the Seduction of Spirit and Transparent Expression of everyone there present. 
This was definitely one of my most memorable moments in my 16 month time spent in my home land of Nicaragua.

This dance has as pure intention to override any effects of the conditionings we all face to deconstruct.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane. But only them who danced were able to pierce through the insanity.

Dancing in the Jungle

We gathered for 6 days to Dance our Medicine next to a powerful river in the coast of Costa Rica put on by CoCrea Dance Community. Thirty people igniting somatic alchemy together in a deep somatic healing journey.

I created a set for the final dance that composes an array of different rhythms and flavors to stimulate dance in an exploratory, sensuous and curious way. 

From feeling deeply within, to an explosion of celebratory power within one journey, down to the deep expression within relationship in partner dance, group dance... ending in a large puddle of a human mandala all together co-regulating our bodies, minds and spirits.

I feel a combination of deep sadness, grief and a gentle joy to be sharing this piece with the world today. @DanielZuur and I started this piece in 2021 and it was sitting there waiting for me to complete it.

I have now completed the first piece him and I started collaborating on. At a 111 BPM, a mid-tempo uplifting and heart-touching piece of deep-house qualities shares the loving friendship bond Daniel and myself shared through music, laughter, the admiration of beauty and our powerful shared creative ponders.

I share this piece as a self-release today to the world, to honor Daniel's life, his impeccable brilliance, his mastery in sound, his romantic heart, his gorgeous friendship and theatrical mind.

I love you forever Daniel, the day you transitioned to the next realm, I got a labradorite stone that I now wear to have you close to my heart in this lifetime. Also that early morning I received an important piece of news that fuels the forward steps for Heart in Nature. I just know you are continuing to create and beautify where you are journeying into now.

NAOBA Live @ Downtempo México - Ocelote Edition

This morning at the Church of 8 Wheels another legend was made. 250+ dancers showed up for a 2hour journey of world music weaved with deep groovy bass lines and whompy beats for the finest movement pleasure. 

This truly was a powerful moment of connection to Music for me. When there are such real dancers on the dancefloor ready to get down to the most experimental sounds and rhythms is where I most fly with waves and irregular patterns for daring movement. 
At the peak of the dance there were 200 people sweating and jumping up and down from the powerful energy created together. This was a morning for the books. Once again, thank you SF Dance Community. We are Family.

This powerful island made of ancient volcanic activity is the home of the ancient NAOBA people, my ancestors, a land that is powerful and empowering.

Bless Our Inner Waters - Audio Technology Meditation

I created this piece while visiting the coast of Galicia Spain in 2019. The whale song recordings come from the organization Cemma.org who caters to the visibilization and study of cetaceans in the wild.
I've created a 16-minute sound meditation journey with brain-wave technology intended to guide us into our deep subconscious where the songs of our cetacean kin can reprogram us with deeper empathy and trusting relaxation.

Yo crecí en un lugar donde la poesía y la música trova de Silvio Rodríguez se escuchaba siempre. En un tiempo donde resonaba la revolución política, los chicos encontrábamos un aire de profundidad en el arte que nos rodeaba. En esencia, todos queríamos también ser poetas.

Esta canción ha sido una de mis favoritas de este cantautor. Una de las mas famosas, claro. Y saber que se la escribió a un amor imposibilitado por la guerra en Cuba. Me conmovió a editarla a una versión moderna downtempo para poder escucharla y bailarla. Para sentir esa pasión que todos en estos tiempos sentimos por amores o libertad imposibilitada de cierta manera.

OJALÁ que logremos transformar en belleza esos sentimientos, así como Silvio logró componer una de las piezas más hermosas a partir de tanto dolor.

I grew up in a place where Silvio Rodriguez's poetry and ‘trova’ music were constantly played. In a time where the political revolution was always present, we as kids found ourselves surrounded by an atmosphere of artistic depth. In essence, we all also wanted to be poets.

This song has been one of my favorites from this Cuban singer-songwriter. ‘Ojalá’ means ‘hopefully’ in Spanish and it is one of his most famous songs written by Silvio to a lost love prevented by the war in Cuba. I felt the impulse to edit this piece to a modern downtempo version so it could become part of our present story. So we can dance to the same passion that all of us in these times feel for love or freedom that is prevented to us in a certain way.

I made sure the feeling is transmitted in the atmosphere of the music.

Hopefully (Ojalá), we can transform those feelings into beauty, just as Silvio managed to compose one of the most beautiful pieces from so much pain.

This beautiful high-quality 1:30 hr musical narrative comes from the live presentation of an ecstatic dance created during a beautiful intimate yoga gathering in the south pacific coast of Nicaragua.

The beaches and the infinite horizon atmosphere along with the nurturing energy of the tribe who gathered in the name of deepening into the presence of the body, brought me to create a unique ritualistic dance session that touches upon the subtle movements of the psyche, the shadow aspects of the self, the very seldom visited inner spaces of silence, touching upon grief, marching into high intensity energy, and falling into the deep abyss of the ocean inside of our soul.

I am so grateful to be able to merge with tribe in this way. This is my calling, as a priestess of sound. We are here now. During this pandemic, during this apocalypse of the world as we knew it. I believe in going deep within our unique selves and finding the path to joy and Love through the rest of the sentient experiences.

My biggest passion since 2007 has been sound as a tool for the expansion of consciousness and medicinal purposes for our nervous systems and psyche.

There is a lot of research on the how sound entrains our brains to vibrate to the same frequency that it is exposed to. Thant means that if we listen to a very low sound frequency of 4Hz-8Hz, our brains will start to copy this and vibrate to that frequency band of Theta receptivity and relaxation where meditation, creativity and cellular regeneration occur.


* Brain Entrainment = the process of the brain mimicking the same vibration that it is stimulated by.
