I wish I could've done more... a sentiment shared too fucking often. I know my voice is and was irrelevant to the grand scheme, but if he could've known that there was one more person maybe it could've prevented this. Unlikely, but still, a regret to hold until I die. We weren't close, we didn't talk, but I was a fan from the early days. Seeing the swap to Fox and the age of 20XX, to the creation of the B0XX and Nightclub series, to the creation of 1.03, and the repeated requests to be unbanned... I'm not a TO. I'm not a top player, not even locally. I'm not a Smash content creator. I'm just someone who loves the game and has loved the game for a long time, just like Hax. This was not only tragic, but preventable, and we all have to do better. Not just the TOs, not even just the Melee scene, ALL of us. We are in a time of immense apathy and the world is collapsing from our own callousness. People will crush others, strangers and friends alike, to appease themselves. To selfishly gain at their expense. People are ready to trash your reputation and paint you as a villain for opposing their beliefs. People are ready to fight on the daily as long as it's confined to a keyboard, but what will happen when that's no longer viable? When it's no longer a choice? What will they do when they have to stand up? 

Cower down, that's what they'll do.
