Writing this song was cathartic for me and still reminds me to be careful not only with other people’s hearts but also my own.”

“I wrote this for the keyboard player of a band called Fairview. I played guitar in Stunt Monkey and we were often sharing the stage with her band. I burned this song onto a CD-R and gave it to her after a gig in Longview, WA. I never saw her after that and thought she hated it. More than a decade later we connected on social media and she said she dug it.” ~ Ben Lazarus

"I started playing with some tiny little synths called Pocket Operators. They look like somebody skinned a calculator and sound like a gameboy smashed with a hammer. The bassline and beat were fun on their own, but when my friend asked me to make a theme song for his podcast, I added some vocoder and a guitar solo to make it into this track."
