I first heard the "guitar version" during one of Gary Valenciano's concerts during my college years - which prompted me to learn it by ear. I would also play it once in a while in DWTL which is probably the reason I still remember it after all these years.

So, what is there to say about this interpretation? Let me see...

Guitar wise, It starts with the same progression I remember from the version I loved... I used the harmonies from an american CD version (The album is entitled "Out of the Dark") as a springboard, I obviously had to modify it because of the amount of deviation I did for the main melody on the second verse.

We also have the "bridge" from the concert version... then some pseudo-percussive guitar playing at the last chorus. I had to invent a new counterpoint at the tail end; mostly because I totally forgot how the damn thing ended so I was just making shit up as I went along...

The "ending proper" (May all glory be...) again goes back to the concert version which brings the whole thing back full circle as far as my "journey" with this song goes.

The best thing about doing demo recordings for composers is that you get to be the first one to breathe life into a new song. I really didn't expect this song would make it this big. :D I was already so overwhelmed when I heard Juris sing this live at the MOA Arena, what more when they hailed it as the 2nd Best Song. :) Again, Congratulations, Tito Soc! I'm very blessed to be a part of this team. I'll forever be a big fan of yours!
