First, accept death, and give up any hope of life.

By great good fortune, the Transcendent Lord has blessed me with them. Millions of rewards come from the Blessed Vision of the Guru's Darshan. ||Pause||

ਜਿਨੋਂ ਕੋ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗੋਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਸੋ ਚਰਨ ਦੇਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਨੋਂ ਕੋ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੇਖਣੇ ਕਰ ਕ੍ਰੋੜੋਂ ਹੀ ਪੁਨੋਂ ਕਾ ਫਲੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਅਚੁਤ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਮਦ ਢੀਠੇ ॥

Singing the Glorious Praises of the imperishable, indestructible Lord, sexual desire, anger and stubborn pride vanish.

ਅਚੁਤ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਕੇ ਗੁਣੋਂ ਕੋ ਗਾਵਤਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ, ਤਿਨੋਂ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਮਦ ਆਦਿ ਜੋ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਢੀਠ ਥੇ, ਸੋ ਬਿਨਸ ਗਏ ਹੈਂ॥

ਅਸਥਿਰ ਭਏ ਸਾਚ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਬਾਹੁਰਿ ਨਹੀ ਪੀਠੇ ॥੧॥

Those who are imbued with the Love of the True Lord become permanent and eternal; birth and death do not grind them down any more. ||1||

ਸੋ ਪੁਰਸ ਸਾਚ ਰੂਪ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮੇਂ ਰਾਤੇ ਹੂਏ ਇਸਥਿਰ ਭਏ ਹੈਂ, ਪੁਨਾ ਵੁਹ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਸੇ ਪੀਠੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਸੇ ਰਹਤ ਭਏ ਹੈਂ॥੧॥

ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਜਨ ਰੰਗ ਰਸ ਜੇਤੇ ਸੰਤ ਦਇਆਲ ਜਾਨੇ ਸਭਿ ਝੂਠੇ ॥

Without the Lord's meditation, all joys and pleasures are totally false and worthless; by the Kind Mercy of the Saints, I know this.

ਹਰੀ ਕੇ ਭਜਨ ਸੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਜੇਤੇ ਰੰਗ ਔਰ ਰਸ ਹੈਂ, ਜਿਨੋਂ ਪਰ ਸੰਤ ਦਿਆਲ ਭਏ ਹੈਂ ਤਿਨੋਂ ਨੇ ਵੁਹ ਸਭ ਝੂਠੇ ਜਾਣੇ ਹੈਂ; ਵਾ ਦਿਆਲੂ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਦੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਜਾਣੇ ਹੈਂ॥

ਨਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਹੂਨ ਚਲੇ ਸਭਿ ਮੂਠੇ ॥੨॥੮॥੨੭॥

Servant Nanak has found the jewel of the Naam; without the Naam, all must depart, cheated and plundered. ||2||8||27||

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਤਿਨ ਜਨੋਂ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਨਾਮ ਰਤਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਸਭੀ ਨਾਮ ਜਪੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ (ਮੂਠੇ) ਠਗਾਈ ਖਾ ਚਲੇ ਹੈਂ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਜਨਮ ਕੋ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਕਰ ਜਾਵੇਂਗੈ॥੨॥੮॥੨੭॥☬ਨਾਮ ਜਾਪ ਸੇ ਲਾਭ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
