本次新企劃邀請了五位臺灣新興創作者與我共同創作合輯。

「Wu Ji | 無極」象徵未知的聲音潛能與萬物起源，同時也是創造的「零點」。透過這次合輯，我們期望集結各位藝術家的聲音，激盪出新的火花，讓創作者在自己的音景世界中自由表述，為新世代鋪設一條探索潛在可能性的道路。

模擬神經緊繃狀態
當下腦神經判斷聽覺接收的聲音動態，會是在頭皮前額葉上方與耳道極左右回蕩的狀態。
低頻的節奏速度以30的速度跳動著，詮釋當凝視思考一物時所聽到心臟 跳動聲。

Simulating a state of neural tension, the brain's auditory perception at that moment resonates betweer tex above the scalp and the extremes of the ear canals. 
The low-frequently  rhythm pulses at a tempo of 80, interpreting the heartbeat one hears while fixating on an object in deep thought.

Lica - An uneasy gaze

NASA’s Juno spacecraft has observed plasma wave signals from Jupiter’s ionosphere. This display is a frequency-time spectrogram. The results in this figure show an increasing plasma density as Juno descended into Jupiter’s ionosphere during its close pass by Jupiter on February 2, 2017.  

The intensity, or amplitude, of the waves is displayed based on the color scale shown on the right. The actual observed frequencies of these emissions approach 150 kHz, which is above the human hearing range. To bring these signals into the human audio range, the playback speed has been slowed by a factor of about 60. The momentary, nearly pure tones follow a scale related to the electron density, and are likely associated with an interaction between the Juno spacecraft and the charged particles in Jupiter’s ionosphere. The exact source of these discrete tones is currently being investigated.

Plasma Sounds at Jupiter

On 28 May 2014, ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst, NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman and Russian cosmonaut Maxim Suraev rocketed into space in a Soyuz spacecraft. This was their voyage - in audio.

Strapped atop 274 tonnes of rocket propellants delivering 26 million horsepower, it took only six hours to reach their destination, the International Space Station ISS.

Listen to raw, unprocessed data from the seismometer on NASA's InSight spacecraft of vibrations caused by wind moving over the solar panels on Mars. A subwoofer or earphones are needed to hear this clip. The sounds were recorded by two of the three short-period sensors on the seismometer (SEIS). 
 
JPL manages InSight for NASA's Science Mission Directorate. InSight is part of NASA's Discovery Program, managed by the agency's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
 
France’s national space agency, Centre National d’Études Spatiales (CNES), Paris, leads the consortium that provided SEIS. The principal investigator for SEIS is Philippe Lognonné of the Institute of Earth Physics of Paris (Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris, or IPGP). Imperial College, London, and Oxford University made the short-period sensors.

Raw Sounds from InSight's Seismometer on Mars (short clip)

Listen to data from the air pressure sensor on NASA's InSight lander, indicating wind blowing by on Mars. The data were sped up by a factor of 100, shortening the duration of the recording and shifting it up in frequency 100 times (a little more than six octaves).

Sounds from InSight's Pressure Sensor on Mars

A recording of sounds created by InSight's robotic arm as its camera scanned the surface of Mars on March 6, 2019, the 98 th Martian day, or sol, of the mission. Also captured are wind gusts and "dinks" produced by friction inside of InSight's seismometer, called SEIS.

ESA’s Cluster mission has recorded the magnetic waves generated in the magnetic foreshock above Earth – the first region of our planet’s magnetic environment that solar wind particles encounter – during calm space weather conditions. This audio file contains a 'sonification' of the data, where sounds were obtained by transforming the frequencies of these magnetic waves into audible signals.

The sounds are higher in pitch and more complicated than during calm conditions.
