Sebby Kowal is a Polish ambient producer. He has been making music since 2021. Sebby would describe his music as minimal ambient with delicate textures and field recordings. He has been on a number of labels such as Shimmering Moods Records, Elm Records, Atlantea Records, Florina Cassettes, Deep Electronics, and more. Sebby believes when you create ambient music, the possibilities are endless. In the future, Sebby has a number of new projects coming up from ambient mixes, compilations, and new albums. "When people listen to my music, I want them to feel relaxed and to be at peace," says Sebby.

Cinematique Instruments wanted to design an instrument which would make the creation of new lo-fi sounds as easy as mixing different paints together on an artist’s palette. They started recording on tape, collecting noise floors and running instruments through chains of vintage gear. The result is an impressive collection of analog “colors”, which are the building blocks for completely new sounds which are full of character.

Distant and Withdrawn

A funny thing happens when someone asks you “Do you play an instrument?” and you answer “Yes, a synthesizer!”, you are often met with an expression that suggests that is not the answer they hoped for. As a lifelong fan of synthesizers, I always found this a bit bewildering as these instruments not only can create so many wonderful sounds, you can compose with them in so many ways.

In light of this, I decided to compose this duet-style sonata between a grand piano ( UVI Model D) and an emulation of the 1983 Yamaha DX1 synthesizer ( UVI FMX1) played in the most traditional of ways.
