Here is the Seth Troxler remix of the track 'I Try To Talk To You' which is co-written by the excellent John Grant. The track is taken from the album 'The Feast Of The Broken Heart' which was released on the 26th May.

The first vocal collaboration of the new album's recording sessions, John's sexy tomcat voice and lyrical ability for translating hardship into elegance lent themselves greatly to the new album.

Andy Butler explains: "I asked John to dig deep with his lyrical contribution. I had no idea he would dig so deep. He tackled the story of becoming HIV positive, and while I mentioned to him that he did not need to go there if he was not comfortable, in that beautifully punky, spirited and courageous way he has about him, he told me that was what the song was going to be about. What came of it is an elegant song featuring John singing and playing his heart out.”

'I Try To Talk To You' was released with remixes on the 9th June.

Every artist has their own perspective, imagination, style and inspirations. They share this with the world through their creations and performances, their own musical concepts. Each concept is unique, as is every performance.

Polymath can be defined as ‘many talents’. The Polymath concept will ask different artists to create pieces inspired by their perception of a singular theme. This concept gives artists the freedom to share their own visions on a given notion, to push and stretch their boundaries of creativity, and to present inspired tracks and artwork.

Each Polymath release is an experiment. It will include three different artists’ pieces inspired by the same theme. This is tied together with ornate artwork to complete the bespoke showpiece.

Sunday morning, the most beautiful sunrise, after almost a whole week in the desert. It was been the coldest night so far, I remember setting up my gear, nervously hoping it wouldn’t let me down, when the sound-technician came up to me and said, "We might have a problem, there’s a storm coming!“. I turned around and saw a huge dark wall of sand reaching up to the sky, rolling into our direction.
I started playing anyways, and somehow the storm merged together with the lyrics of my songs, and changed their meaning. It had been the roughest condition I ever played in, and it really was a special one. Thank you for that experience!

ART:

The Chapel of Dancing Shadows is a space of contemplation, meditation, wonder. It is a communal space serving as art gallery, refuge, and sound bath. The 8-ft walls are covered in delicate drawings— the first 12 images of a developing 150-plate series of works composing Maria Kreyn’s Codex, an allusion to an invented creation myth. The ceiling is an elaborate CNC cut structure, creating the feeling of an arabesque lace canopy. From it hang detailed rafters and a collection of wind chimes, as an ode to the sounds in the temples of Myanmar.   

"As a child, I doodled. As an adult, the images have evolved into a complex universe in their own right-- a surreal, yet classically inspired world of fantasy, illusion, spatial bending, and mythology. The images are meanderings through the labyrinths of the subconscious. They gesture at a creation myth of an invented civilization, at the beauty and aesthetic of pattern making in the human mind--both visual and literary.  As this body of work evolves, the images find new outlets, new homes, new media to participate in. Making their debut as the walls of an immersive installation (The Chapel of Dancing Shadows), they are now available to enjoy in a smaller, more intimate print form, closer to their original size.”  -Maria

It has been five years since we launched the podcast series and to celebrate, we will be releasing x5 special edition mixes from selected artists over the course of the next couple months starting with none other than Barac. After a long period of time at the top of his game, known for his intricate and high quality productions,on the likes of Pressure Traxx, Meander, and Midi Records. His intelligent and smooth sound is loved by many all over, whether moving the dancefloor in one of the best clubs in the world either mixing or one of his fantastic live sets, or it could be a lengthy journey on the beach in his native country Romania. There is something so special when this man enters the room with an ability to grasp the listener, allowing them to indulge in the variations of sound he has prepared. It is with our greatest pleasure, that we can offer you this tasty cut from Barac's set live from Robert Johnson, in Frankfurt, back in January 2016 for a Presure Traxx showcase. Famous for its intimate vibe, and incredible sound system, to nobody's suprise, Barac steps up to the occassion with low swung minimal grooves lifting the atmosphere, accompanied by his signature curious movements of abstract sounds adding to the story the Romanian is telling. Pressure Traxx are known for their ability to extend much further than what meets the eye, there is no 'same sound', and this is why the wizard we like call Barac fits the bill like no other. A steady motion in to the trip, whether listening in your house, walking to work, or driving in your car, you will be absorbed in to the sounds you are hearing gaining an insight to the tight knit intimacy of Robert Johnson, and what Barac had to offer on the night.
