This one's a bit darker. Cara & I initially wrote it on acoustic guitar, tending toward a softer vibe. But once we got a drummer & bass player involved and we all plugged in & started jamming on the riff, it evolved into something completely different, which is kinda cool. Stellar production by Mike Ballantyne who, aside from playing bass in the band, also recorded & mixed all the songs. He added all the cool keyboard effects on this version, which adds a ton of texture. 
Oh and the song has nothing whatsoever to do with Layne Staley.  Cara wrote the lyrics, hence she named it, so you can ask her ;-P  
Listen all the way through 'cos she really wails at the end. Totally worth it.
