This is an acoustic song I did while I lived in Korea in 2003.  I had different lyrics for it, but decided I didn't like them, so I turned those vocal parts into other instruments: piano, violin, viola, cello... Then decided to write something more optimistic and sing it how I imagined 90s Alternative Grunge singers might for the verse, and the chorus in a more toned down voice for contrast.  However, after doing 'Roam', I found a tone I liked with the symphonic rock style... where the music is melodic and vocals sound painful.  I tried to bring that into 'Yesterday' as a result.  

The rest of music, I reworked to be a little heavier, but more rock than metal.  It's the first in the run of 10 or 11 acoustic songs I had that I retooled that way.  I've never really done anything like this, so it's a complete experiment at this point.
