A creative network in a still burning world, You Blew It Up! is fundamentally a collective of creative people. Artists, musicians, theatre-makers, writers, whoever. The classic quote from Planet of the Apes became a catch phrase in the process of creating and viewing new works. It’s the double significance of our name that drives us: it can often seem like we’re desolate in a wasteland of bad popular culture, and we want to explode our work into the world. Everything’s been blown up, but we also have the potential to blow up in a positive sense. We’re not saying we’re the only thing out there, we just love people coming together to make something really exciting.
