A one-take recording of a my original jazz tune "Just a Thought" that I arranged for four saxophones (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone).

For this piece, I used sounds that I recorded behind my house when the pond was barely frozen over. The sound sources include tall grass, branches, pebbles, boulders, and ice from the pond.

A simple melody inspired by a stroll through an apple orchard near my house.

It's been two years since we graduated and went our separate ways, but my college roommate and I had a sudden opportunity to spend an evening together playing music again like we used to do nearly every night back in the good ol' days of our 8x12 dorm room. No planning. No forethought. We just put a single mic in the middle of the room and played the music that came to us. While the stuff in the middle wasn't nearly as coherent or cohesive, these two numbers were the bookends of our jam session. Bobby Bennett, we've had some good times!
