Jake Boring is a composer, conductor, orchestrator and saxophonist. Jake has recently composed over 30 scores including a Coca-Cola Regal Film commercial that aired in Regal Theaters nationwide during summer 2019. Four of Jake’s films have screened at the Cannes festival in France. 

Jake completed degrees in Composition, Saxophone and Business Economics at UCLA. He was the recipient of the Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship, the Henry Mancini Award for Composition of Music for Motion Pictures & Television and the Colburn Scholarship. His principal composition teacher was nine-time Emmy winner Bruce Broughton. 

Jake has received national recognition for his work for the concert stage. In 2019 he was selected as a national finalist for the American Prize Contest. In 2018 the Encore Saxophone Quartet commissioned Five for Four, which has been performed nationally and internationally. In 2017, Jake was a finalist in the Finale’s National Young Composers Contest, selected for the American Composers Concert at Liberty Hall in Hollywood and commissioned by the FreeLAncers concert series.

Jake was a 2018-2019 Society of Composers and Lyricists Mentor and was recently a Remote Control Productions intern. Jake is currently interning for Benjamin Wallfisch. When he’s not around instruments you can find him backpacking or trying to find ways to take advantage of his private pilot’s license.

Drew Swatosh is a composer originally hailing from Vancouver, Washington. Coming from a background in arts integrated education, he strives to create connections within his music, whether through the inclusion of programmatic/extra musical elements; collaborating with other composers, musicians, and artists; and/or the combination of different musical styles and compositional techniques. His compositions range from chamber works, vocal and choral pieces, and more recently, arrangements of Brazilian music.

As a composer, Drew, has studied with Elizabeth Ackerman, Dave Averre, William Whitley, and Kevin Walczyk. In 2015, he graduated with a bachelor of music in contemporary music from Western Oregon University. Drew also has had the opportunity to participate in many different master classes including Halcyon Trio Oregon, Ascendo3, Dave Metzger, Chen Yi, and Gabriel Prokofiev. Beyond master classes. Drew has had the opportunity to sit in and listen to a rehearsal of the Oregon Symphony, and participate in the Oregon Bach Festival Composers Symposium and the Fear No Music Young Composers Project. For his SATB setting of the Poem In Flanders Fields by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, Drew won 1st place in the Washington State Music Teacher’s Association Young Composers Project for the 11th grade division.

Ryder McNair is a versatile and collaborative film composer and musician.  He has scored numerous feature and short films that have screened at international film festivals including South By Southwest, Tribeca, Slamdance, Seattle, Santa Barbara and Mill Valley.

This year, Ryder was thrilled to study with the likes of Pete Anthony, Patrick Kirst and Lawrence Shragge at USC's Screen Scoring Masters program, where he was the recipient of both the Joe and Alice Harnell Scholarship and the Betty Rose Collaboration Awards.  During the year he also worked on Netflix's upcoming Orson Welles feature doc, They'll Love Me When I'm Dead, SXSW short film Come and Take It, along with commercials for Dee Rees (Walmart) and the NBA.

Patrick O’Malley is a composer of orchestral, chamber, and media music. He is inspired by mysterious dichotomies in nature and art, writing music that often embraces abstract worlds and emotions rather than concrete images. Through balancing challenging techniques and traditional expression, O’Malley’s goal is to ignite the listener’s imagination and memory in enduring ways. His works have been performed across the United States and also in Europe.

Most recently, O’Malley has been recognized or performed by organizations including the Albany, Minnesota, Ft. Wayne, and Milwaukee Symphonies, the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s National Composer Intensive, The ASCAP Morton Gould Award, and The Aaron Copland House Residency. He was named Composer of the Year by the Sioux City Symphony in 2018, and made his Carnegie Hall debut with the New York Youth Symphony in 2021. O’Malley also serves as the arranger and a conductor for the video game concert series Journey LIVE with composer Austin Wintory. O’Malley completed his masters and doctoral degrees in music at the University of Southern California where he studied with Andrew Norman and Sean Friar. He divides his time between living in Los Angeles California, and Lake Charlevoix, Michigan.
