I wrote this song whilst living in Istanbul, Turkey about a time when I ran out of money and had to take to the streets with an open guitar case to live out the rest of the month! I actually loved that rare experience, and learned alot about why I write songs in the first place: although it's nice to make money off of my music (and in this case I needed it!), I get much more gratification out of people listening to my songs, because I have something to say!
