Ditchweed ~ Fucked Up All Of My Fun

"Shades of Things To Come" was the name of my radio show in Cincinnati on 88.3 WAIF-FM for five years or so in the early nineties. It was a new music radio show and I played music that was released that day or week. Occasionally I would interview local band people on air. 

This interview is with William Gilmore Weber and myself from 1992. I digitized it from the original cassette using Audacity. I edited all the music out leaving just us talking. We discuss the current Murder Junkies tour that is on break while GG Allin is in jail. Bill and I talk about everything else he's up to including Sugarshock, meeting Roky Erickson, and bands he's performed with, in Cincinnati.

Shades Of Things To Come William Gilmore Weber Interview 1992

"Shades of Things To Come" was the name of my radio show in Cincinnati on 88.3 WAIF-FM for five years or so in the early nineties. It was a new music radio show and I played music that was released that day or week. Occasionally I would interview local band people on air.

This interview is with Troy Raszka and Bart Foster from October 6, 1992. I digitized it from the original cassette using Audacity. I edited all the music out leaving just us talking. We discuss the new Schwah single, "I Love Bill Murray", b/w "The Living Most" that will be the first Monocat 7 Records release. Troy and I talk about recording the Schwah single and upcoming shows with The Wolverton Brothers, Brainiac, Ditchweed, and Feeder.  I have no idea why I mention Gilligan's Island! Troy and Bart then tell us about another project, "Umclunk", and their show coming soon in Dayton, that will be improvised, playing music live in a planetarium! Bart then talks to us about yet another project in the works called "Hi" and strategic moves from Toledo to Cincinnati in the future.

"Shades of Things To Come" was the name of my radio show in Cincinnati on 88.3 WAIF-FM for five years or so in the early nineties. It was a new music radio show. I played music that was released that day or week. Occasionally I would interview local band people on air. 

This interview is with Jason Arbenz and Sam Womelsdorf from February 23, 1993. I digitized it from the original cassette using Audacity. I edited all the music out leaving just us talking. We discuss the new, yet unreleased recordings that Throneberry were working on at the time. Jason spreads the credit around and we talk about the five songs they had recorded so far. Jason plugs a show at Bogart’s with Schwah, Middlemarch, and The Mortals, an upcoming show at Sudsy’s, and a few out-of-town shows coming up in Toledo and Kentucky. The Love Cowboys are mentioned in future booking plans. I change the band’s name to Shroneberry and we go into the origins and dilemmas of the band’s name. We go on to talk about the beautiful, just installed, Monocat 7 Towers! Sam gives away a pair of tickets!  
Throneberry departs and Denny resumes cohosting! I plug Ditchweed’s show with Vambo Marble Eye at Sudsy’s. Denny heartily promotes the Big’n, Frampton Brothers, Feeder show at Top Cat’s that weekend. Just two extra blocks! Troy Turner and crew roll in for Midwestern Hellride. We compare sweaters, and Troy gets fuzzy and nice before we go!
