Alternative Rock can be described as a mixture of
elements from genres such as #Punk , #Grunge , #Metal and  #Pop
but it can also contain acoustic guitars, various other instruments or whatever sounds... 

Even though #AlternativeRock in general has been believed to be dead by people who didnt get it and saw it as a pure trend numerous times, still each and every new generation gives life to new vibrant groups and artists. it is an autopoetic cycle...

This is a collection of #NewSongs published on @soundcloud 
by currently relatively unknown #AlternativeRock Bands.

I think everybody has his or her own words to textually introduce his or her music to others, but to give you a quick impression, here are some thinks that came into my mind while listening...


@SaturdayDrive comes from #Bergen ,  #UnitedStates . I especially enjoy the evolving riffs and the energy their songs create. the vocals and lyrics (!) are supercool and catchy without ever getting cheasy. ( they sounds a little, as if Cuomo had found his selveesteam back in 1992 and did not outlive his spleen for hair-metal for some years instead... )  Imo  a  Must-Listen-To  when you look for  Alternative Rock ( on #soundcloud ) !   



#LumpenAndTheHappyPills   come from Chile. Their sound is a very unique combination of psychedelic guitars and traditional guitar-riffs, paraphrased lyrics, electronic elements and well done vocals !  Some songs nicely long and complex and while the song is evolving the athmosphere is mirrored by the cat on their profile-pic quit perfectly...


@-Killson-   is  an allterantvie rock /  grunge  band from crisis-ridden  #Greece . The Motherland of western civilisation is again suffering from friendly fire  by "allied" powers. history repeats itself,  but Killsons lyrics focus more on personal issues, bad habbits and struggles within generally.

Although the amount of #Killson followers ( here on Soundcloud ) is suprisingly (!) small  ( right now ! ), the songs are all very well craftet, greatly recorded and mastered.  Excellent songwriting / Great Guitare-Sound / Classy Vocals !  #InLimbo , their #DebutAlbum should be available on Compact Disc worldwide through an unknown sourse. ( maybe a pm can do wonders ). This band deserves to be supported by word of mouth... 


I came across #GreatBigDumb with their first upload #stench and l liked that song right from the beginning and even played it to friends etc.  Simply because its just great honest music.  They come from the #FeministKingdom , where they drink beer in a garage doing boy-stuff: writing  Grunge Songs. Fantastic songs to be more specific. The guitar-harmonies are classy, the chordprogression is thoughtfully chosen  and the vocalists raw and full organ  goes well with the athmosphere. Some songs work well without a strong bass-guitar and will still work. For example #UnderAGreatBigDome  ...

#EarthPatriot is the songwriter and soundclouder who made this list. I learned to play the guitare and learning how to write songs more or less symultaneaously. My young ambitious guitare teacher once wanted to make me agree that all that music I liked back than consists of a just a few chords and could be created by basically everyone in the world.
I always liked being creative not only as a musician.  So I thought about what Casper had said and decided to give it a try. that was 15 years ago now …

#DaysGoBy but the chords hardly ever change ...

Hi Folks!
A new (older) song written by me. I record this tune anew because I want to use this track also for the "Deutsch Rock" Projekt with Dirk from "The Gatsbys".

I love this song so much because I love the "North Sea" and the beautyful german Islands "Amrum" and "Sylt". Very nice places to be and everytime good places to find yourself...  you know what I mean!
Since I was a child I want to stay there for ever... a dream but this dream(s) gave me some inspirations for a good song! ;)
