Mike Purdy, AKA Native Philosophy, is a multi-faceted musician who hopes to positively influence the people of Mother Earth through his music. Originally from Lansing, MI, Native P's specialty is vocal loop performance, combining beatboxing, singing, whistling, and other sounds to create unique tracks which stimulate mind, body, and soul. 

The name Native Philosophy is inspired by the idea that we are all natives of Planet Earth, and that it is our collective responsibility to respect the natural world and to create a sustainable future for those to come.

Native P's style is far from mainstream and can be best defined as 'tribal funk'.  Put more simply, he's is all about those chill vibes. With a deep connection to nature and a genuine understanding of mankind's influences through technology and society, Purdy reflects the fundamental balance between these two realms in his music.
