NINA with Cuttle - 24 July 2025

This set was new territory for me!

On May 17 at Ridgey Didge Productions Presents - Convergence 3 - I played a 2 hour warm up set for the almighty, Electrypnose. I got to explore some new territory with this set. Kicking it off with my remix of ALBA’s, “Badman”, then shifting through layers of minimal and bush techno gears, progressively weaving into swampy sounds of psy tech and psy trance. Getting up to 140 BPM at one point I believe - definitely the fastest 4/4 I’ve ever played out! All the while playing heaps of homies tunes. ✊

The dance floor was in it with me. I opened to a quiet room, but by the time I finished, the crowd was roaring and ready to dive into 3 hours of Electrypnose. This set felt good… different… I’m keen for some more fast paced, heavier sets like this!

It’s an absolute pleasure to welcome, local legend…Greg Mungin aka the Lonerist on tonights show.

Greg has been playing and creating music since the 90’s, for over the last 5 years, he has been Djing, producing and releasing his own material as the Lonerist. 
Specialising in dub techno, ambient textures, and minimalist rhythms and deep electronic soundscapes, he has been mostly self-releasing on Bandcamp, but in the last few years, he has been releasing on labels like Insectorama, Slope Point, Verdant Recordings and Crossfade Sounds.

Over the past few years, greg has grown to be one of my favourite Dub Techno Dj’s and tonights show is no exception.

This was my second time at Remember and the second impromptu morning dub set at the horse trailer. I had planned to debut the third Moon Garden 7" by Craig, but pressing delays meant we had to hold off. That said, we rolled with it and spent an hour digging through the 7" crate for a proper dub session. For me, there's no better way to ease into a Saturday, late morning, coffee in hand, surrounded by friends and good sound.

Remember is hands down my favourite gathering. It brings together such a warm, likeminded crew and has this special energy that sticks with you long after it's over. I’m already looking forward to next year. It holds a permanent place in my heart.

I also had the chance to play the main stage again this year, which was a real highlight. Grateful as always to Matt Rose (@mattrose) and Marc Gerrard (@marcgerrard) for creating such a meaningful space. ❤️

Dann seid ihr mit uns! Schwierig wieder Worte zu finden, wenn Ereignisse einfach nur in sich für sich in alle Ewigkeiten so stehen könnten, weil ein danach so weit weg zu wiederholen scheint. Es war ein Fest, das Subardo Festival 2025, mit euch, mit allen Artists, Unterstützer:innen und Tänzer:innen! Lasst euch das sagen, drücken, umarmen! You go around it again, think for a moment, lose your concentration, and it still stays round?  - No. Then you're just like us! It's difficult to find the words when events could simply remain as they are for all eternity, because the future seems so far away. It was a celebration, the Subardo Festival 2025, with you, with all the artists, supporters and dancers! Let us tell you that, in hugging and squeezing! Let's still revel in these sets a bit and look forward to the circumstance that time knows no respite and our thoughts are already striving towards new ideas on the horizon. 🌅❤️‍🔥🫶🏼
