Joe Petty (JShades) is a HipHop/Pop artist and was born on June 5th 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Growing up spending much time in the Bay Area; JShades gained a musical influence from the hyphy scene listening to Mac Dre, Too Short, E40 etc. And a lot of the style derives from that time spent. Beginning music in mid 2013 after producing and Djing for years prior; JShades was quick to make a name, when teaming up with pop group New $chool they released an EP titled Glowing Up which put them on Pandora radio amongst every other radio outlet and it was credited with a blog post naming them "The ones to rewrite the pop/HipHop crossover." Since that time JShades has played many events, a few mentionable ones would be the Hip Hop Homegrown Finals with TeeFlii, Headlining alongside Christo Elektric at the University of Utah, and playing festivals such as Sand Hollow Mayhem, and Gunlock Reservoir Takeover. JShades has also had the privilege of working with HBK gang on a few occasions, Young California, Blackbear, Misdom, and Cool Kid Cartel. With an increasing internet following JShades continues to release new music that is both danceable and relatable.
