Greetings unto da MOST HIGH JAH, He go by da name of Ras Blu, Natty Dread Beatz (NDB), Blu Marley and da list goes on...Born and raised in a little town called Wake Forest, NC just outside of the state capital, Raleigh NC. Ras Blu has always been musically inclined since a child, starting first by learning how to play the piano. As a little youth, he found his passion MORE into playing the basic drum-set (5 peice). He spent most of his chilhood years playing for his church he was raised in at the age of 11. Blu also gained the ability thru Jah almighty, to make beats digitally also. It all started in the fifth grade, a local classmate brought it to Blu's attention. He then, fell in-love with making beats. Ever since, he been dedicated to the creation and the making of music. From there Ras Blu began to excercise his musical talent into perfection. He never grew up with his personal drum-set, only the one he played at church. He got his first drum-set at the age of 21 which was given to him from a Rasta elder around the community who seen something in Blu when he first heard him play in 2008. Over the years he begin playing for different bands and groups around the local town and Raleigh NC. Also being anointed with the ability to play the drums and "sang" at the same time. He's grown to learn just about all the genres of music such as Hip-Hop, R&B, Gospel, Jazz and Best of all...Reggae music. He's known mostly for his ROOTSY drum patterns (One Drop) and incredible drum rolls. Ras Blu has played for local Reggae bands such as Crucial Fiyah and Anchants. Not only is he known for making the drums talk but he's also a great Singer as well. He has opened up for well-known artists such as Sister Carol (Jamaica), Michael Rose (Jamaica), Ziggy Marley (Jamaica) and Midnite (St. Croix). Ras Blu believes in only STRICTLY ROOTS AND CULTURE vibes because of the message it sends within.
