Welcome to the 3rd compilation release by Natty Droid. Once again we have contributions from all our friend around the world including unique releases just for this album, as well as the good ol familiar artists we have also had contributions from new artists as well. So sit back and relax to some fresh new 8bit and Digital reggae. And once again we have a special bonus side from our friends and supporters with tunes in some crazy 8bit styles and remixes of our artists and others.

Joining us for the first time are Tron and La 3KtorC from Spain Eskimo Attack from Mexico, Poupa Honk from switzerland and flip da scrip from the US on the digital side, and Jahdubtahz from Crete , Module8 & BitFXclique from Germany who appear on the Bytes side.

In 2012, ten years after its inception, Stand High Patrol released their first album « Midnight Walkers ». Following the success of their first LP, plus several EPs and singles released on Stand High Records, Pupajim, Rootystep and Mac Gyver now return with a second self-produced album.

With it’s jazzy drums, deep roots bass and foggy piano melody « Sleep on it » introduces this new LP reminding the open approach of Stand High Patrol, their penchants for experimentation and their habit of playing with eras. 

Stand High’s music has always been closely linked with Kazy Usclef’s graphic work, and he has collaborated with Charlie Mars to produce a splendid accompanying video. The tune is now available for legal download with the visuals on youtube. Are you ready for a new dubadub experience?

En 2012 et dix ans après ses débuts, Stand High Patrol sortait son premier album. « Midnight Walkers » présentait un son dub contemporain aux multiples facettes, un son versatile, lourd de basses, baptisé dubadub. Forts du succès de ce premier LP et de celui de plusieurs maxis et singles sortis sur Stand High Records, Pupajim, Rootystep et Mac Gyver reviennent aujourd’hui avec un second album autoproduit « A matter of scale »
 
Avec sa batterie jazzy, sa basse roots et ses notes de piano brumeuses, « Sleep on it » introduit ce nouvel LP en rappelant ce qui caractérise le démarche de Stand High Patrol : cette volonté de mixer les genres, d’explorer les époques et d’expérimenter sans cesse.
Pour consacrer l’importance que Stand High Patrol accorde au lien entre musique et univers graphique le morceau a été admirablement mis en image par Kazy et Charlie Mars. Il est désormais disponible en téléchargement légal et dans sa version intégrale sur youtube. Prêt pour une nouvelle expérience dubadub ?

- Wellwellsound from France -

Eljo Wellington aka Wellwellsound. He released his first oficial album on King Dub Records in 2013. His musical style is strictly in a 8 bit digital style, reminding the old nintendo, C64, Atari sound etc... Also his dub might well be futuristic, both in the choice of the sounds and in the way to put them together, WellWell works the old way: first, he builds the riddim, then he makes a dub version by torturing it with all the effects that comes to hand. The least we can say is that it rocks. Wellwell sound has for a long time now been doing some of the sharpest production in laptop 8 bit reggae and this is no less of a great effort from the french great producer.

- YUGO (Deltaforce sound Int) From Jahpan -
Yugo is a reggae selector / MC and Singjay from Yokohama, Japan. He represents 2 categories of sound : Delta Force sound since 2004, Roots temple JP since 2014 out of Yokohama, also home to the world famous Mighty Crown and a massive reggae music culture. Yugo has been playing with Delta Force around Yokohama since 2004. Yugo later moved to London & spent some years exploring the UK reggae scene & building solid connections in the industry whilst working at historical Reggae record shops like Supertone in Brixton. At the time Yugo met up with chazbo chong(Owner of roots temple, Bush chemist foundation). On his return to Japan, Yugo organised a Japan tour with Bush Chemists (Chazbo Chong & King General) & also with Kenny knots and Carl Meeks in 2012/13. Yugo also released a mix CD in Japan with Kris Kemist, having linked with Reality Shock family back in Reading UK. Yugo is currently expressing himself musically working on some digital dancehall influenced productions also spiritual music as roots temple productions & is available for bookings Roots temple, Delta Force Sound across Europe & worldwide.
