Johnny writes, sings and plays acoustic songs born of his own solid roots.  Real.  Good.  Life.  This is Johnny and it is also his music; hardcore folksy Americana, straight-from-the-heart and the mind, with bright, current themes.  Music is not a new passion for him.  He grew up in a home with parents immersing the family in a great variety of music; his dad played guitar from the day he was born.  This thirty-six year old singer songwriter is a family man from San Antonio, Texas.  Much of his current lyrical content is inspired by his own family – his wife and three beautiful daughters.  Johnny learned the guitar young and has picked it up again and exploded in a flurry of song writing heard recently by crowds at local venues.  A growing internet fan-base and charts have taken notice in a positive way.
  Aside from his dad, Johnny had numerous musical influences, some obvious, others not so much.  The earlier, older lot includes legends such as Neil Diamond, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and the Beatles.  More recent on the music scene include Ray LaMontagne, Mason Jennings, Jack Johnson.  When Tony performs the occasional cover, it is most likely a tune you know from one of these greats.
  Although the casual listener might think “This guy is good, he should make it as a top singer”,  it is much deeper than that with Johnny.  While his clear-toned, poetic voice laid onto solid guitar chords is quite enjoyable listening, this songwriter is a man with a potent message.  The talent you hear on the surface is wrapped in his thoughts and emotions about the rewards of life lived right, who you love and how you treat that stranger.  (Put him in a biker bar to sing his original ‘John Wood’ – there won’t be a dry bandana in the house!).  The spring from which this message comes is Johnnys good life thus far and his hopes and dreams for the future.

Take it back to the Bronx, NY – February 13th, 1985 – a star was born; meet talented NuYoRican femcee Skarlit Rose! From birth, she had an ear for music and the gift of song. Skarlit Rose relocated to South Florida in 1997 after her father committed suicide, which fueled her dedication to HipHop and Poetry and her ambition for greatness. Throughout her school years, she gained early exposure and shared her skills on the mic by performing at talent shows, battles, and local open mics. It wasn’t until 2007 that Skarlit Rose decided to pursue a career in Music. She is a lyrical beast on the mic, with soothing melodies, heavy content, and powerful messages. Skarlit Rose’s first independent release was “The Many Shades of Skarlit Rose”, engineered by her son’s father and Quick Tracks.  She used this album as a first attempt to make a larger-than-local name for herself, flooding the streets with her music and performing at any venue that gave her an opportunity. She has performed at open mic nights in South Beach among the likes of DJ Epps and other local heavyweights. After the birth of her son and with the help of her team, Skarlit Rose was blessed with the opportunity to feature on Canibus’ 2010 album release “Melatonin Magik”, collaborating with Canibus, Blaq Poet, and Presto on track 15 called “Do It Live.” Shortly after the album release, Skarlit Rose brought Canibus to South Florida for a unique, up-close concert. In 2011, Skarlit Rose released her second project “Skarlit Fever, The Epidemic” featuring all original music, and hosted by DJ Heron with the help of The Architect of Reverse Polarity. This mixtape gained her more fans, more credibility in the local scene, and more international attention. This landed her a spot on Canibus’ 2011 album release “Lyrical Law”, collaborating with Canibus and K-Rino on track titled “Cypher of Steel”. She was also featured on international mixtape series “The Illest Female Rappers”, volumes 1, 2, and 6. She is currently working on her next project to be released in 2012 titled “The Skarlit Letter, The Untold Story”, in which she will deliver her best work yet. Not only is Skarlit Rose an amazing artist, she is a business woman and very instrumental behind the scenes. Eager to give back to her community and provide a stage for local talent to be seen, Skarlit Rose started organizing and holding local hiphop showcases at venues such as Stage84, Area7, and The Latin Café. In 2011, she brought down underground legends such as K-Solo, Planet Asia, and Thirstin Howl III to perform at her venues. She plans to bring many more artists down in for concerts and parties to come.
