The 28th edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of Craigie Knowes founders, Mitch Hunter and Max Spittal.

Hailing from Glasgow and Perth, @craigie-knowes is a record label which has gained a reputation for furious, underground club cuts purpose built for the dance-floor. Since 2015 the label has released a prolific array of music from the likes of Jensen Interceptor, DJ Overdose, Carl Finlow, James Shinra, Cygnus and more. Beyond this they have also released two stellar compilations in support of the charity War Child of which the likes of Legowelt, Luke Vibert, London Modular, etc. have all supported and featured. 
 
Mitch and Max themselves are a renowned DJ duo, who would normally be found gigging around the globe pre-pandemic, spinning a diverse selection of underground electronic music soaked in attitude. Their exclusive, heavy-hitting mix for our DECENNIUM series perfectly showcases the Craigie Knowes sound and was an absolute pleasure to listen to and kept us moving from start to finish.

DECENNIUM29 - Mike Dehnert (Fachwerk, Delsin, MD2)

The 29th edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of one of the kings of Berlin Techno; Mike Dehnert (Fachwerk, Delsin, MD2).

"Since 2007, Berlin native @Mike-dehnert has run raw Techno labels Fachwerk Records, MD2 and a more house oriented subdivision called Colombage.

The imprints’ mission is simple: to release their own take on raw, floor Techno. And so they have done on 80 different occasions, earning both the label and the artists behind it the respect of in-the-know, serious Techno fans from all over the world. Dehnert’s own productions (often informed by his grubby, dub infused and textured live Techno sets at institutions like Berghain and Tresor) have also been unleashed on the world via other respected imprints including Clone Records, Echochord Colour, Deeply Rooted House, Pampa Records and Delsin."

It is a huge honour to have Mike feature on our series, with this extremely well-informed selection, giving us a taste of his city Berlin, which we have missed so much during the pandemic.

DECENNIUM31 - Altar (THEM)

The 31st edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of local legend Jack Christie aka Altar (THEM).

Founder of THEM Records and owner of Container Records, Brixton, @altaruk deserves huge credit for his contribution to the London underground scene and culture. His firm knowledge and ear for dance floor mechanics has gained him a well-deserved reputation as one of London's most multi-dimensional DJ's and dedicated artists. 

After running @themldn as a successful London club night series since around 2009, Jack decided to make the logical extension into an independent physical and digital imprint in 2014. The music is Techno and Electronica that intersects with urban rave music. The aesthetic is dark. THEM releases have included some of the most reputable artists in the scene such as Ansome, Hadone, Scalameriya & Hiroaki Iizuka.

As expected, Jack has fully showcased his talent and the might and experience of THEM Records, with this well-informed selection, recorded exclusively for our DECENNIUM series.

Bringing our DECENNIUM series to a worthy finale, is our co-founder and longstanding resident, Michael Silmon aka Kodah.

From our inception in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2010, and since our London journey began in 2012, @kodah has gained a reputation for his impeccable curation and has frequently brought the most cutting-edge lineups to some of the best club venues in London, most notably @foldldn where a strong family bond has been formed, and where he has found his true, spiritual home in London, both as an external promoter / curator, but also now as a resident DJ. Kodah has always maintained an uncompromising adherence to our firm policy of underground electronic music, bridging the heavier spectrum of Techno, Electro, Acid, etc. with new style and form, whilst always paying homage and striving to immortalise the traditional and original roots from which we have grown.

Kodah brings the same wide-ranging musical knowledge and passion for warped, hard-hitting electronics to his productions and he is now firmly cementing his status in the London underground. Recent years have seen Kodah play amongst heavyweights in the Techno and Electro scenes, that include; The Advent, Regis, The Fear Ratio, Speedy J, Kamikaze Space Programme, Claro Intelecto, Conforce, The Exaltics, Scan 7, Developer, DJ Skull, Sterac, E.R.P. & many more.

For this exclusive DECENNIUM mix, Kodah did what he does best and what himself and Natural Selection have gained notoriety for; meticulously and successfully weaving together diverse Electronic forms, some of which would not normally be attempted. As usual the result is a unique and radiant journey of sound, which captivated us for it’s entirety.

Based in London, Rommek has seen his music released by the heaviest of renowned labels such as MORD, ARTS & James Ruskin's Blueprint Records. Rommek returns to Natural Selection after releasing with the label via their widely acclaimed VA compilation fundraiser "In Aid Of Ukraine" in 2022, with his track "All Blood Is Red", which has gained support by some of the most respected DJ's worldwide. 

Since his debut release in 2014, Rommek has creatively expanded his own sound and has firmly established himself within the global techno and experimental scene. His extensive interest in sound design is crafted within the dense atmospheres, heavy broken drums and dynamic tones found within his productions. After various releases that grounded him within the Blueprint family, Rommek then completed his most established work to date, the 'Set In Stone Trilogy' in 2018. "Slave To Society (ex AnD) returns to Natural Selection with a white-hot experimental techno EP, accompanied by an IDM-infused remix from industrial electronica duo; Somatic Responses.

After a decade of redefining techno dance floors as AnD, Andrew Bowen returned to his experimental, hardware-focussed roots as Slave To Society in October 2019. Since then he has seen his music released by highly revered institutions in the world of hard techno, noise, breakcore, IDM and industrial electronica, such as PRSPCT, Pure Hate, Ohm Resistance and BANK Records NYC. ‘Ai Invasion’ is a sonic exploration of the symbiotic relationship between humanity and technology. Expect advanced, experimental hard techno and noise, fused with powerful low-end muscle, raging hi-hats, fragmented percussion and augmented amens. The release also features a razor sharp and well-placed remix of track B1 - ‘Robot Dementia’, courtesy of legendary hard industrial electronica duo; Somatic Responses.

"London based label Natural Selection present their forthcoming release in the form of a 4-track 12" EP, courtesy of Swarm Intelligence, entitled "Radiance". Radiance is an impeccably crafted experimental Techno EP, which redefines genre parameters.

Born in Dublin and now firmly based in Berlin, Simon Hayes aka Swarm Intelligence has cemented his place in the Techno underground with critically acclaimed LPs and EPs on labels such as 47, Instruments of Discipline and Voitax. He returns to Natural Selection, after releasing his track "Generative" on the label's latest VA release; "Natural Selection: Selected Works Vol. 1" in 2024. Featuring amongst an extensive list of heavyweight label affiliates such as SHXCXCHCXSH, Charlton, ASEC, Nørbak, MAEDON, Annie Hall & more. After further connections with the label via live performances at their regular label nights at FOLD London, it was inevitable that Simon would be invited to release a solo EP on their imprint.

His distinctive sound comes from over a decade of releases spanning multiple genres and tempos and oscillates between rhythmic noise, tense atmospherics, uncompromising levels of distortion, and stark, astute beats. This resolutely non-conformist approach to his productions has earned him a reputation as a true trailblazer in the realm of Techno and has led him to perform at some of the world's finest institutions including Berghain, Tresor and Basement NY.

For "Radiance", Swarm intelligence delves further into the sonic unknown, presenting a bold evolution in his uncompromising vision of Techno. Deep, fragmented textures form the backdrop for thunderous, distorted rhythms and IDM-laden drums and percussion, fused with meticulously designed cinematic soundscapes and powerful low-end muscle. Fierce, unrelenting, and deeply conceptual, all rules and boundaries are smashed to pieces and all tracks are equally suitable for blasting through the world's biggest club systems and rigs as they are for home listening."

Swarm Intelligence - Radiance EP [Previews]

We are ecstatic to introduce to you our new series FUSE, in which we will bring you mixes and live sets recorded exclusively for Natural Selection, from a selection of our residents, past guests and other closely affiliated artists and friends. Each mix or set will be accompanied with a profile on the artist responsible, highlighting their career, upcoming projects, etc. We feel in the current climate it is crucial to unify and fuse together our artists and supporters and we are so happy to be able to continue to provide a platform for music, whilst we are forced into this lockdown situation. Thank you to everyone involved for bringing this together and making it possible.

Kicking off the series is none other than Jeroen Search (Figure, Dynamic Reflection), one of our favourite all-time artists and who we had the absolute pleasure of playing for us back in 2018. The Dutchman is one of Techno’s most influential producers, but is also a well-kept public secret. Putting out consistently high quality music since the mid nineties, he is always right at the sharp end of the Techno spectrum. Keeping him there are the slick beats he releases on his own genre-defining label Search, as well as those on Figure, Dynamic Reflection and many others. Given his always refreshing output, he has seen no need to completely reinvent himself and instead keeps on putting out his always timeless Techno, spellbinding audiences with his expertly crafted DJ sets and truly inspirational live sets, and claiming his space at the table of the absolute cutting edge of Techno. This exclusive DJ set for Natural Selection is entirely made up of material from himself and his long-standing label 'Search' and we feel honoured to have him involved in the series and bring you this unheard masterpiece.

For the next edition of our FUSE series, we bring you one of the main players in the Electro scene; Reedale Rise (Frustrated Funk, 20/20 Vision).  Reedale Rise (Simon Keat) has proven his worth for many years and this has been honoured by releases on labels of royal stature such as Frustrated Funk and 20/20 Vision. We were blessed with his presence at one of our parties in 2018 in which he did not disappoint with one of the most memorable live sets in the whole history of Natural Selection.

We are very grateful to Simon for his involvement in our series, and providing us with this well-informed set, recorded exclusively for Natural Selection, and containing some fresh and unreleased material from the Liverpool based producer.

For the 8th edition of our FUSE series, we bring you a hidden diamond in the world of electronic music; dynArec (Delsin, Kondi).
Founder of Vaporwave Records, French producer dynArec has been releasing unique and forward thinking Electro and Techno since 2003, on heavyweight labels such as Delsin, Kondi, Solar One and Bass Agenda. As well as his productions, his live performances around the World throughout this time have given him a solid reputation as one of the the most exciting artists in the scene today.

We first discovered dynArec in 2004 after hearing his exquisite album 'User Input' released on Delsin Records. We have remained glued to his releases ever since. We always wanted to bring dynArec across to the UK one day for one of our events and our first event at FOLD in March 2019 seemed to be the perfect time to do this. dynArec closed the party, preceded by other formidable artists including Claro Intelecto, Sterac, Antigone, Adapta and our co-founders Kodah and Funk Ethics. This live set was one of the most memorable sets in our history and received great feedback from many who attended.

For this live FUSE set he set out to recreate the energy from that closing set at FOLD, using some of the same exclusive tracks and sounds and the result is nothing short of a masterclass which we thoroughly enjoyed hearing.

For the 10th edition of our FUSE series we bring you an exclusive DJ set from CPSmith, founder of Central Processing Unit, one of the most respected and prolific record labels in the world of Electronic Music.

Central Processing Unit, commonly referred to as CPU Records, is an independent British record label, founded in Sheffield in 2012, specialising in various forms of Electronic Music. CPSmith (Chris Smith) is the man responsible for it’s existence. A respected player in the Sheffield scene since the early days of Warp Records, Chris, heavily influenced by the Electro, Techno, early House and Bleep sounds from this era, has notoriously carried forward the legacy of a city that deserves huge credit for it’s contribution to the UK scene, and thus the country's reputation as being one of the pivotal hubs of the World.

We were honoured to collaborate with Chris and CPU for an unforgettable event at FOLD in November 2019. Chris formed part of one of our biggest ever lineups which featured The Advent and E.R.P. aka Convextion, along with front-line CPU and Natural Selection artists, including Plant43, 96 Back, Annie Hall, Kodah and Osc Kins.

Chris’ mix could be described as a history lesson in quality electronic music, but streaked with modern, advanced productions from his label and closely relevant artists.

Bringing our FUSE series to a worthy finale, is someone we will forever hold dear to us; our brother, resident and @Foldldn co-founder, Lasha Jorjoliani aka @Voicedrone . 

If you have lived in, or followed what's been going on in London for the last couple of years, this man will need no introduction as he has lead what could only be described as a revolution in the London electronic music scene, since the birth of his infamous 24-hour club, institution, and now record label; FOLD. Although an undeniable figurehead of the scene, Voicedrone is by no means explicitly tied to co-founding FOLD. Before it's inception, Lasha travelled his own personal journey into the scene. Hailing originally from Georgia and arriving into the U.K. to pursue his music career, he built his reputation through sheer will. In 2016 he established his own label Imprfct. and his well engineered productions have seen him release on other labels such as Bipolar Disorder, Ear To Ground Records and LDNWHT. Four years on, Lasha has gained huge notoriety, partly down to his core passion to create and nurture community. This purpose is channelled into every event he plays - here in London, in Europe and beyond. 

Undoubtedly the greatest thing to have happened for Natural Selection since our inception in 2010, was being brought into the FOLD family and we are eternally grateful to Lasha and FOLD for their endless support, and for believing in our vision and allowing us to fully spread our wings in what we now call our true home. We felt the final edition of our FUSE series had to symbolise and pay homage to this very special bond and there was no-one more fitting than our very own Voicedrone to see out the series with a significant bang. 

To have this legend on the Natural Selection frontline is an absolute honour and we are proud to be able to present to you his exclusive FUSE mix.

DECENNIUM04 - Nullptr (Central Processing Unit)

For the 4th edition of our DECENNIUM series we bring you an artist making huge waves in the Electro world in recent times; Eddie Symons aka Nullptr (Central Processing Unit).

Eddie's first step into the Electro scene came with his debut release as Nullptr on the highly regarded Detroit Underground label. In 2018 he followed this with an EP for Sheffield giants Central Processing Unit, which received airplay on B Traits' Radio 1 show, and gained support from the likes of Jensen Interceptor, Carl Finlow, DVS NME & many more. Another recent release came courtesy of Solar One Music's Between Places sub label, with another selection of modular-fuelled intergalactic Electro. This year has seen Eddie firmly cement his position as one of the greats in the scene with his 2nd release on Central Processing Unit, his 10 track album entitled 'Future World', which has gained huge notoriety amongst the elite in the scene.

In the last few years Eddie has built up his DJing experience, playing regularly at his Motherchip Connexion events, where he is known for playing a diverse range of electro, from dark machine funk to acid-tinged braindance.

It is an honour to have such a bright talent on our series and as we expected, his exclusive set is nothing short of brilliant, captivating us for the entire journey.

DECENNIUM - Nullptr (Central Processing Unit)

DECENNIUM05 - Plant43 (Plant43 Recordings, CPU, Frustrated Funk)

For the 5th edition of our DECENNIUM series we bring you an artist recognised as a genius by the elite in the Electro world; our good friend Emile Facey aka Plant43. For 15 years he has regularly released on labels considered as royalty in the scene, which any Electro artist would dream of, such as Central Processing Unit, Frustrated Funk, Ai, Semantica, Cultivated Electronics, Shipwrec and TRUST. Now busy with his own label Plant43 Recordings, we are immensely grateful to Emile for taking the time to produce this well informed, masterclass of a DJ set, made exclusively for Natural Selection.

First inspired by Kraftwerk in the early 80′s Emile was hooked on Electro from an early age. In 1998 he got involved with promoting Electro events in London and soon after started writing music as Plant43. His first vinyl release came in 2006 on the much-missed Ai Records. Several 12’s and the well-received “Burning Decay” album in 2010, alongside other releases on Semantica Records, CPU, Frustrated Funk, TRUST, Shipwrec, AC Records (acidlab.de), Bleep43 Recordings and Cultivated Electronics have highlighted his singular and ambiguous style of sinewy Electro that draws deep from the influence of Drexciya. Emile is also a graphic designer and co-founder of bleep43.com, which is dedicated to promoting and reviewing electronic music. Since 2003, the London based Bleep43 parties have seen him play live alongside such acts as E.R.P., DJ Stingray, Surgeon, Regis, Objekt, Sync 24, Demdike Stare, DMX Krew and many more.

After being huge fans of Plant43 for many years, in 2019 we were finally able to relish the opportunity to book Emile to play a live set as part of our collaboration event with CPU Records at FOLD, amongst a lineup that included The Advent, E.R.P. aka Convextion, 96 Back, CPSmith and our residents Annie Hall, Kodah and Osc Kins. His set went down as one of the best live sets we have ever had the pleasure of witnessing and we were proud that this was produced at one of our events and heard by a packed venue on one of best club sound systems in the UK.

It is an absolute honour to have Emile on our series and we hope you enjoy listening to this set as much as we did.

DECENNIUM - Plant43 (Plant43 Recordings, CPU, Frustrated Funk)

DECENNIUM06 - /DL/MS/ (Frustrated Funk, TRUST)

The 6th edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of Dan Lodig and Martin Sovinz, better known collectively as /DL/MS/.

The Viennese pair started self-releasing original Techno and Electro on their own Pomelo label in 2016, which led to attention from some of the elite producers and labels around Europe.  They have since released a string of quality EP's via heavyweight label TRUST, and via Electro royals Frustrated Funk, which have cemented their reputable status in the scene.

As well as running their new label Vigram, you can find /DL/MS/ performing their reputable live set around the Vienna circuit and beyond. For their DECENNIUM set they have produced a rare DJ set, planned and mastered as meticulously as their live set. The track list is a thing of beauty, with unrestricted twists and turns from Electro, Detroit and Ghetto-Tech, to Techno, Acid and Breaks. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Keep your ears to the ground for @dl-ms future movements.

DECENNIUM10 - Pip Williams (London Modular, Central Processing Unit)

The 10th edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of Pip Williams, who forms 1/3rd of the legendary London Modular Alliance.

Owners of the London-based modular synth store; London Modular Alliance have cemented their reputable status across the UK and beyond, with their incredible modular live act set up and productions. Having released on heavyweight labels such as Hypercolour, Craigie Knowes and ART Records, the trio have developed a reputation for high quality, innovative productions. This has paved the way for more exciting releases going into 2021, including their debut release for London titans Cultivated Electronics, which comes out in February next year.

As well as huge movements with London Modular, Pip Williams (Phil Ventre) has been making big waves as a solo artist in the Electro world for almost ten years, with releases on heavyweight labels such as Central Processing Unit and Brokntoys, amongst others. A notable force in the London scene, we were privileged to book Phil to play a few years ago, prior to our FOLD days, amongst a lineup that included Plural (Metroplex), Reedale Rise, Reflec & more. As expected, Phil delivered a set we will never forget and we are massively excited to welcome Phil back to Natural Selection.

DECENNIUM - Pip Williams (London Modular, Central Processing Unit)

DECENNIUM12 - DJ Godfather (Databass, Touchin' Bass)

It is one of our biggest honours to date to bring you the next artist in our DECENNIUM series; the legendary and aptly named DJ Godfather (Databass, Touchin' Bass). 

Respected globally, but particularly in Detroit, Chicago, Miami and the US, Godfather has been releasing since 1996 on ground-breaking labels such as Touchin' Bass and via his own label Databass. As well as a producer, he has had a hugely successful career as a DJ, winning numerous awards and recognition in the US and beyond. He plays it all from open format/mashup parties to House music to the deepest Trap, Ghetto Tech and Juke parties, incorporating his notorious battle style turntablism in his sets. He has played across the globe numerous times in cities all over Europe, Asia, Australia, United States, Canada, China, Japan and South America and receives worldwide recognition.

@dj-godfather is considered one of the founding fathers of the genre we now know as Ghetto Tech, which many will be aware plays an important role in the traditional Natural Selection ethos. Godfather started DJing at the age of 15 with the help of, now business partner, DJ Dick. Within a few months of getting his turntables, Godfather was already playing in nightclubs and after hour parties all over Detroit. He started producing at the age of 17 for his first Miami Bass style group Bass Association. With the buzz of a few singles off the Bass Association album on 3 Detroit radio stations, Godfather made his first solo record at the age of 18 on the now Twilight 76 Records entitled "Work Dat". Taking his turntablism skills and mixing Detroit Techno music with Miami Bass music, a new sound was born; Ghetto Tech. With the formation of their new record label Twilight 76 with partners DJ Dick and Brian Gillespie, he took his talent and turned it into an entire business creating 3 other labels known as Databass Records, D.E.T. Only (An exclusive label with only 1000 copies of each release), and Juke Trax (A label dedicated to the Chicago style of Ghetto House and Juke music). With all 4 record labels combined, Godfather and his partners released over 250 vinyl releases and mix CD releases, selling over 800,000 units worldwide. 

Godfather's most recent project, comes in the form of a colossal 44 track album, self-released on his Databass Records imprint. This has been making the rounds lately and has gained huge notoriety and regular plays from the elite in the scene. For the 13th edition of our DECENNIUM series we bring you Battle Trax founder; Phil Klein aka Bass Junkie.

Forming one half of the legendary Kronos Device, along with fellow stalwart The Dexorcist, Phil has been releasing the purest forms of Electro since 1996 and has gained royal stature amongst the Electro and Machine Funk elite. 

A local legend in London, Phil founded his label Battle Trax in 1996. Around this time Phil was heavily involved in the Electro scene and was releasing under his Bass Junkie pseudonym on reputable labels such as Parallax Records and DMX Krew's Breakin' Records. Since then up until now, he has consistently released quality, hard and aggressive electronics on the likes of Touchin' Bass, Bass Agenda and Electrix.Teaming up with The Dexorcist, the pair began releasing as Kronos Device on Battle Trax in 2001.

It is an honour to have such a legend in the scene feature on our DECENNIUM series and we hope you enjoy this savage mix, featuring plenty of his own material, and recorded exclusively for Natural Selection.

The 15th edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of the mastermind Steve Conner, aka Adapta (Frustrated Funk).

Amongst the discerning heads in the underground electronic scene, Steve has gained almost mythical stature due to his unique, twisted style and productions of the highest quality, releasing as Adapta since around 2011 and much earlier as one half of Bitstream since around 1999, with his Brother Dave Conner.

Adapta is well known for being one of the key artists on Frustrated Funk, a label of royal importance in the Electro world, for which he has released a string of records since around 2016. As Bitstream Steve has had numerous achievements and releases on heavyweight labels such as Frustrated Funk, Signal Recordings, Touchin' Bass and notable claims to fame with Modern Love's first ever release and a remix for the mighty Depeche Mode.

Adapta and Bitstream have performed their forward thinking live sets all across Europe and we were honoured to have Steve play for Natural Selection at FOLD as Adapta in March 2019, alongside Claro Intelecto, Sterac, dynArec, Antigone and our co-founders Kodah and Funk Ethics. This was one of the most memorable events in our history and we can't wait to have Steve back in future.

We knew Steve's exclusive set for our DECENNIUM series would be a special one and he has not let us down with this recreation of his FOLD set from back then, which is one of the most well informed selections we have ever heard.

DECENNIUM - Adapta (Frustrated Funk)

The 16th edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of Manchester born producer, composer, sound designer and DJ; Paleman.

@paleman swiftly kick-started his artistic journey at the age of 18 after studying Jazz at Chethams and Trinity College of Music. He has quickly become one of the most respected DJs and producers, with a view to innovate and experiment. Multiple releases on Swamp81 started his career, followed by a collaboration with UK mercury prize Jazz nominees Polar Bear in 2014, before he launched his own white label series in 2016 "PLMN". Paleman now has a curated solo show "Hyphal Networks" on Rinse FM, exploring experimental Techno sounds and has debuted his textural electronic percussion based live show at Manchester International festival. As well as numerous successful releases under his own PLMN imprint, he has also produced stunning work for heavyweight labels NonPlus+ and Zehnin in recent years. 

Paleman has performed all around the world from Tresor in Berlin and across the UK to Australia, India and Canada all to showcase his unique DJing style, live sets and huge array of unreleased experiments. With studies in classical music and jazz his drumming skills and influences take note from all four corners of the experimental musical world, and also the dystopian future of hardware based machine music as well as experimental early electronics. Paleman seems to constantly be pushing boundaries in both his DJ and live sets and also his productions.

It is an honour to have such a huge talent feature an exclusive set for our DECENNIUM series.  We hope you enjoy this shifting, captivating journey, which explores new realms of experimental modular driven Techno that defies convention.

DECENNIUM - Paleman (PLMN, NonPlus+)

DECENNIUM17 - Oliver Rosemann (MORD, PoleGroup, MindTrip)

The 17th edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of Techno heavyweight @oliverrosemann (MORD, PoleGroup, MindTrip).

Based in Leipzig, Germany and an important, regular feature in the Berlin circuit, Oliver has been consistently releasing high quality Techno in it's purest form since around 2007, on reputable labels such as MORD, PoleGroup, MindTrip, Diffuse Reality and more. 

Oliver's journey into DJing and production began in the mid 90's and he is heavily influenced by dark, straight, driven, hypnotic Techno, which was circulating with force around this time. He has performed on stages all around Europe, where his gripping and energetic DJ and live sets have gained a solid reputation and have cemented his status as a legend in the underground Techno world.

It is a huge honour to have Oliver form part of our DECENNIUM series and we hope you enjoy this innovative journey of a DJ set, recorded exclusively for Natural Selection.

DECENNIUM - Oliver Rosemann (MORD, PoleGroup, MindTrip)

DECENNIUM20 - Giant Swan (Mannequin, Timedance)

The 20th edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of one of the brightest flames in the world of Electronic Music in recent years; UK duo, Giant Swan (Mannequin, Timedance).

"Giant Swan is the brainchild of Robin Stewart & Harry Wright; an acerbic marriage of energised, aggressive dance music, quaking bass and hypnotic electronic noise. Having built a formidable reputation for their hi-octane improvised performances, relentless international touring and a succession of acclaimed EPs on respected imprints such as Whities, Timedance and Mannequin, 'Giant Swan' sees the pair stepping things up significantly, with a full-length musical statement that bristles with the galvanising energy for which they're known while introducing a fresh depth, range and sonic nuance to the equation.

Named after a beloved track by screamo overlords the Blood Brothers, Giant Swan was originally conceived as a side project from their roles as guitarists in the band The Naturals, with formative influences such as My Bloody Valentine and Lightning Bolt being distilled over time with inspiration from the varied and always vibrant local music scene in Bristol. From dub soundsystem teachings at the Trinity Centre and Black Swan or the fiercely experimental early transmissions of friends in the Young Echo collective, Giant Swan have grown to take their place as one of the most singular and determined groups to emerge from the UK underground in many years.

Whilst not belabouring the point, this outsider status is important to note: despite rousing audiences at festivals such as Unsound and Berlin Atonal, and sharing stages with the likes of Objekt and Actress, Giant Swan have always approached their craft in an entirely different way to most of their contemporaries. Musically this is evident in Stewart’s contorted vocal textures married with shards of abused guitar noise that cut through the four to the floor heaters, but also comes across in their conceptual approach - be it onstage, facing each other whilst flanked by walls of amplifiers or in interviews, where the pair have consistently stressed the need for inclusive clubbing environments based on equality, enjoyment and an ongoing, unflinching critique of the culture.

At the same time they’ve been subverting expectations on the international techno circuit, they’ve also had one foot in a more experimental camp, equally at home playing alongside Moor Mother (for whom they’ve produced a track on the forthcoming Analog Fluids of Sonic Black Holes album) at leftfield arts festivals as they are sending it in at legendary clubs like Berghain and Tresor. This year they’ve also made tentative steps towards putting themselves in front of a more mainstream audience; with two appearances at the revered Glastonbury Festival, a high profile support slot at the Royal Albert Hall with indie heroes The Horrors (who they have also recently remixed) and a specially commissioned live set for BBC Radio 1."

We are proud to announce the next edition of our DECENNIUM series, which comes courtesy of one of the most highly esteemed and influential Techno and Electro legends of our time; none other than our good friend and returning guest, Cisco Ferreira aka The Advent (Kombination Research, MORD).

Cisco has been at the forefront of the scene since the early 90's. Fresh out of college, Cisco’s hunger for sound landed him a job as assistant sound-engineer in several recording studios. When acid label ‘Jack Trax’ moved in next-door, Cisco started recording for the likes of Adonis, Fingers Inc, Marshall Jefferson, and Derrick May. These rendezvous sparked the inspiration for his first EPs on R&S and Fragile.

In 1994 Cisco signed a record deal for 12 EPs and 3 albums together with Colin McBean. This was the beginning of an era during which the duo set a worldwide standard for high quality underground Electro and Techno. They hit the world with a refreshing sound, both as The Advent, and ‘G Flame (Cisco) and Mr G’, the alias Colin is still using. Nowadays The Advent is a solo project, bombarding crowds around the world with it's trademark raw, energetic sound. A sound that grants him yearly slots at festivals as Nature One, Awakenings and Bonusz, as well as regular shows in clubs such as Berghain and Tresor. The list of releases is huge and ever-growing through some of the most heavyweight labels around, as well as via his own imprint Kombination Research.

After being huge fans of The Advent for many years, in 2019 we were finally able to relish the opportunity to book him to play a live set as part of our collaboration event with CPU Records at FOLD, amongst a lineup that included E.R.P. aka Convextion, Plant43, 96 Back, CPSmith and our residents Annie Hall, Kodah and Osc Kins. His set went down as one of the best live sets we have ever had the pleasure of witnessing and we were proud that this was produced at one of our events and heard by a packed venue on one of best club sound systems in the UK. Cisco has since returned to the Natural Selection front line last year at our 10-year milestone live stream at FOLD, where he was joined by The Fear Ratio (SKAM), 96 Back, Tasha b2b Voicedrone and more.

We feel Cisco has played a big part for Natural Selection over the last couple of years and we are eternally grateful for his support and enthusiasm for what we do. We are ecstatic to have such a titan on our DECENNIUM series with this exclusive set, as lethal as it gets.

The 24th edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of local legend, Rory Kelly, founder of our good friends Das Booty London.

DJing for over 20 years, Rory has been a pivotal figure in the London underground scene for many years and was one of the founding members of the Oldskool night Distant Planet. In 2018 he founded his club night / collective Das Booty, which he has led to great heights in recent times, showcasing his undying passion for Electro, Techno, Ghetto-Tech, Miami Bass, Hip-Hop, Oldskool Hardcore, Acid, Breaks, etc. Das Booty have hosted the likes of Jerome Hill, Dexorcist, Warlock, Altar, Ben Pest, etc. along with our resident Osc Kins and a recent guest radio set from our co-founder Kodah. In addition to their contributions to the rave community, they have also recently took the next step to becoming a record label in 2020. Rory and Das Booty deserve massive respect for their huge drive and commitment to the London underground scene.

With this exclusive mix for our DECENNIUM series, Rory has lived up to the high-velocity, ferociously energetic vibes one can always expect from a sweaty Das Booty rave and we'd strongly advise getting this blasted as loud as possible.
