The 29th edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of one of the kings of Berlin Techno; Mike Dehnert (Fachwerk, Delsin, MD2).

"Since 2007, Berlin native @Mike-dehnert has run raw Techno labels Fachwerk Records, MD2 and a more house oriented subdivision called Colombage.

The imprints’ mission is simple: to release their own take on raw, floor Techno. And so they have done on 80 different occasions, earning both the label and the artists behind it the respect of in-the-know, serious Techno fans from all over the world. Dehnert’s own productions (often informed by his grubby, dub infused and textured live Techno sets at institutions like Berghain and Tresor) have also been unleashed on the world via other respected imprints including Clone Records, Echochord Colour, Deeply Rooted House, Pampa Records and Delsin."

It is a huge honour to have Mike feature on our series, with this extremely well-informed selection, giving us a taste of his city Berlin, which we have missed so much during the pandemic.

He also runs Fachwerk Records, MD2 and Colomabge, which amplifies this tradition with a handful of friends and colleagues. His sound is a perfectly balanced mixture of raw oomph and space station sophistication and fits right in to his regular appearances at Berghain and Tresor. In a landscape littered with copy-paste techno, Mike Dehnert is a unique treasure and we are extremely excited about his exclusive set for FWD.DJ which contains many unreleased tunes and works in progress. Their busy schedule took them to seven different cities in ten nights. This is a recording of them playing together on the final night of the tour at Good Room (@goodroombk) in Brooklyn.
