FUSE19 - Cygnus (CPU, Craigie Knowes)

The 19th edition of our FUSE series comes courtesy of the globally respected Phillip Washington aka Cygnus (CPU, Craigie Knowes).

The Electro and Techno producer, hailing from Dallas, Texas, has shared the stage with the likes of Autechre, Egyptian Lover, Dopplereffekt, Deltron & more and he has cemented his status as a legend in the scene. This has led to him releasing on a growing list of reputable labels such as the mighty Central Processing Unit, Breakin' Records and Craigie Knowes. 

Cygnus is a vital cog in Dallas' Electro scene, but he has also released Breakcore, IDM and other styles of electronic music. It can be hard to know where to start when you first dive into his catalogue. There's a sense of expertise to how he builds on Electro's established style. Whatever the formula, he has quickly risen to be widely acknowledged as a titan of the scene, since he started releasing music in 2012. Cygnus also established his own label; Biosoft Records in 2014, for which he regularly self-releases his own productions.
