From the bible:

 Awake, my soul!
    Awake, harp and lyre!
    I will awaken
 the dawn.

He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains.

“Wake up, sleeper,
    rise from the dead,
    and Christ will shine on you.”

 “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
    and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
    and break every yoke?

to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness

a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth

He brought me out into a spacious place;
    he rescued me because he delighted in me.

that the light of life may shine on them

Though I have fallen, I will rise.
Though I sit in darkness,
    the Lord will be my light.

He will bring me out into the light;
 “Arise, shine, for your light has come,
    and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
 See, darkness covers the earth
    and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the Lord rises upon you
    and his glory appears over you.

He is wooing you from the jaws of distress
    to a spacious place free from restriction


 Then you will look and be radiant,
    your heart will throb and swell with joy;
the wealth on the seas will be brought to you,


 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles

he brought me into a spacious place.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest

then you will find your joy in the Lord,
    and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land

And he shall be as the light of the morning

The wicked flee though no one pursues,
    but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

Arise, shine, for your light has come,
    and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.

to say to the captives, ‘Come out,’
    and to those in darkness, ‘Be free!’

“Forget the former things;
    do not dwell on the past.
 See, I am doing a new thing!
    Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.

Here is my servant, whom I uphold,
    my chosen one in whom I delight

I will turn the darkness into light before them

called you out of darkness into his marvellous light

a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

The people walking in darkness
    have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of deep darkness
    a light has dawned.


Gird your sword on your side, you mighty one;
    clothe yourself with splendor and majesty.
 In your majesty ride forth victoriously
    in the cause of truth, humility and justice;
    let your right hand achieve awesome deeds.

the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.

to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”


 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
    if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
    your right hand will hold me fast.


He reached down from on high and took hold of me;
    he drew me out of deep waters.

He brought me out into a spacious place;
    he rescued me because he delighted in me.


The winged lion is the opposite of the jaldabaoth lion with serpent body symbol.

Regeneration of the inner man from Arcana Coelestia:

from faith, and thence from love, he
speaks what is true, and does what is good: the things which he
then brings forth are called the “living soul” and the “beast.” And as
he then begins to act at once and together from both faith and love,
he becomes a spiritual man, who is called an “image.” 

His spiritual
life is delighted and sustained by such things as belong to the
knowledges of faith, and to works of charity, which are called his
“food”; and his natural life is delighted and sustained by those
which belong to the body and the senses; whence a combat arises,
until love gains the dominion, and he becomes a celestial man.

13. Those who are being regenerated do not all arrive at this
state. The greatest part, at this day, attain only the first state; some
only the second; others the third, fourth, or fifth; few the sixth; and
scarcely anyone the seventh.

The state of the celestial man, thus gifted with the tranquility
of peace—refreshed by the rain—and delivered from the slavery of
what is evil and false, is thus described by the Lord in Ezekiel:

and I will cause the rain to come
down in his season; rains of blessing shall they be.

Arcana Coelestia was most likely inspired by jewish mysticism. In Zohar angels are mentioned  flying on winged lions. The celestial man concept would be similar to an angel flying on a winged lion.
