The lone interpretation of 'At Dawn' is provided by Navar who is making his first appearance on Dopamine Music. The Dutch producer of Lost and Found and microCastle fame has been quiet this year with just one new remix so his appearance here is certainly a welcome and much anticipated one for his fans. With a distinctive sound all his own Navar brings soul and inimitable style to every project he takes on. His 'At Dawn' interpretation is no different, as he's remodelled Juan's playful original into a timeless creation, one that would sound perfect on a beach side terrace as well as a clued up back room. The main motifs, while well conveyed come with a minimalistic yet dreamy flair and Navar's distinct percussive designs never cease to amaze. An incredible remix and one which closes out what is likely Dopamine Music's finest release to date, on a high note.

Striking out with his own EP series, Hot TuneiK joins illustrious company. Using his "Heightened Senses" as a vehicle for a raft of brand-new original material, plus high-calibre remixes as the series progresses, Vol. 1 presents a quintet of sparkling new tracks.

An artist of innumerable talents, Diego Carreón has found himself at the centre of Mexico's underground dance scene for a number of years. A regular across the clubs of his homeland playing alongside the likes of Guy J, Nick Warren and Henry Saiz, his legendary HOOKAH events have brought the best international DJ talent to central American shores, whilst his record label of the same name has continued to represent renowned producers and nubreed talent in equal measures. A successful production career has run in tandem with well over 300 production credits sitting proudly next to the Hot TuneiK name for a host of high-profile imprints including Balkan Connection, 3rd Avenue and Soundteller Records.

A regular on Particles with his "Erase & Rewind" and "Tulum" EPs, the "Revival" and "Circles of You" EPs for Proton Music in 2018 and 2019, saw Hot TuneiK make an instant impact on the flagship imprint. Now returning to the label after a September 2019 remix of Rudy's "Real You", Hot TuneiK follows in the footsteps of Erdi Irmak and Rick Pier O'Neil by
revealing his "Heightened Senses, Vol. 1"

Opener, "Equilibrium" is chock full of complex and intricately programmed percussive elements that ripple across proceedings alongside hypnotically repeated motifs shimmering in delay treated effects. Simultaneously, a meandering pad with subtle vocal character adds texture and depth to a track soaked in middle eastern flavour. Featuring the vocal talents of Amega, "Awake" is a dark progressive gem that revels in rolling grooved bassline and laidback percussive groove. Sung with coruscating beauty the track's title filters into listener consciousness with languid ease as layered vocal lines add depth and intrigue. "Healing" has a more ethnic oriented flavour with its complex top line and ethereal vocal phrases that reveal themselves in repeated phrases and gated patterns. Subtle melodic variations make their presence felt throughout in a track that demonstrates the range of Hot Tuneik's considerable talent.

"Consciousness" continues with a rich bassline groove and shaker-fuelled percussion that provides the perfect bed for strong organic instrumentation from the multi-talented, Osiris Heyerdahl. Thus, a meandering flute line brings elegance and intrigue across a ten-minute track that delights with its innovation and whispered vocal phrases. Final track, "Life" completes the EP with stratified layers of vocal elegance and poise from Sarah Chilanti alongside a raft of motifs and syncopated melodic elements. A hypnotic groove and heavy beat hold the track together with locked tight sonic glue hitting the post-breakdown third movement with depth and purpose as effected vocal phrases continue to drive things forward.

Five new tracks find Hot TuneiK developing a masterful set of "Heightened Senses".

Hailing from the Netherlands, building a relationship with music through an array of equipment where he developed the hallmark of his analogue/digital sound.
Never one to stick to a particular stylistic blueprint, Navar effortlessly melds elements of minimal, techno, progressive and electronica. He has continually impressed since a debut on Klopfgeist imprint in 2010, building a highly impressive discography of productions for Lost & Found, microCastle, Replug, Balance Music, Sound Avenue, Proton, Higher States and more. His music routinely earns the praise of Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Sasha, Henry Saiz and a host of other respected industry figures.

Electronic music luminaries Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Chaim, 16 Bit Lolitas, Boris Werner and YokoO chose to remix the Dutch artist's creations, all of which received critical and commercial acclaim. Always looking to further his creative avenues, Navar collaborates with like minded musicians when the synergy is right. Being locked away in the studio in the early days, have led him to heights that he never could have imagined at the time. Navar set out to carve his own unique path in the world of electronic music.
Inspiration for the Dutch artist comes from many facets and moments in life, as he describes “The inspiration comes from the escape I create when I make music. Every project is a new journey and doors to different sonic avenues open with each one. I step away from reality and enter a world of imagination, surrealism and (yet to discover) forgotten dreams". 
It's no accident that Navar's contemporaries remark on the soulful qualities in his music. His inner feelings have helped create a uniquely deep and recognizable sound, as he states “My music is a reflection of my feelings, it comes from a genuine place that I want people to connect with. I feel comfortable expressing myself through music”. Navar's emotive creations have already cast lasting memories for electronic music fans across the globe. As he goes forward in his journey through sound his passion continues to grow and there's no telling how far his creative talents will reach.
