Stories From Sa Talaia is an album, a compilation, a love affair and like the title says many stories. Some of those with friends and collaborators, some about my family and all somehow connected to Ibiza. 
It´s a showcase of what i learned in the studio and in the booth in the last 20 years and the combination of those skills. 
It´s my approach of how to present such work in our fast forward moving times. This is why this work as i intended it to be in mixed form will be available as a free download for all of you. For DJs the tracks will be available as 4 Album Chapters with single tracks in the next months.

Recorded live at The Cityfox Experience at the Brooklyn Mirage, July 1, 2017 (also playing that night were Stephan Bodzin, Recondite and Tale of Us).

I knew I would have my work cut out for me with this time slot given the large difference in styles between the preceding and following artists, so this may sound like a peaktime set in reverse.  However, as most of you who follow my mixes know, i tend to be quite long-winded in my approach, so fitting a meaningful progression while keeping the energy high, within the confines of an unexpectedly shortened timeslot was a difficult but fruitful exercise.  Coupled with trying to reconnect my guitar pedals at the last minute (with only half success),  it was a stressful start but i got into a comfortable zone quickly.  Its a pretty bumpy ride through a number of styles of heavier techno and electro, but i'm never one to play it safe.  probably shows with the BoC stylings of the closing as well.

I've been exploring a lot of different directions this year as i come up on almost 20 years of djing, having seemingly gone full techno over the last few mixes.  This mix heads back to a nostalgic time as we convinced a large crew of SF/NYers and others to come to Berlin after ADE, so there's proper tribute to some our collective favorites and loads of my personal gems going back to when i started djing. Naveen G is no newcomer to the scene having made his start in 1996 hosting his own show on the influential WNUR 89.3FM Streetbeat Radio that launched the careers of many of his peers originating in Chicago.  Having caught the attention of world class DJs with his very first productions which were licensed to the seminal Global Underground series, Naveen G has fostered his own sound, one that is consistently hailed as exploring the late night side of the dancefloor, straying far from the conventional formula, yet still garnering acclaim from DJs and clubbers alike.
