One of the true privileges of running a label is that suddenly you're working with some of your favourite artists out there. The ones that use to fill your days and nights with magic and creating the soundtracks of life whether when one is traveling the world or just sitting at home sipping the morning coffee.

As we approach the hottest days of the year, a fresh mix has arrived here at our charybdical headquarters. It's great to hear the spheres spinning dynamically again, inhabiting a sonic universe of eclectic energies created by the great artist Morian.

With a rich musical background and relatively new to the scene, he fell in love with the world of Deep and Hypnotic Techno pretty quickly. His talent for building diverse sets with real storytelling qualities did not go unnoticed as he got the chance to create podcasts for many well-known institutions such as Anodynic Frequencies, On the 5th Day, CellarDoor, Melifera, Kvlto Records or Fur:ther Sessions. As a long-time and active supporter of Charybdis, we are of course happy to give him the chance to deliver a mix for our ‘Dynamic Spheres’ podcast series and let him unfold his musical qualities in front of your ears.

Morian's 130bpm mix blends different colours of hypnotism, from dark and eerie to light-flooded and playful, from groovy-psychedelic to spherical and dubby. All this with a cosmic, narrative undertone that couldn't be better suited to teleport you into his very own universe of sound.

Βorn, raised, and based in Patras, Greece, Alexskyspirit’s experience with the decks started in the early 00s in his hometown clubs and bars, blending his early influences of dark, progressive house with psychedelic trance. As he gradually honed his production skills and started shaping his musical identity, he shared the stage with some well-established names over those years, such as Edit Select, Keith Carnal, Charlotte De Witte, Dax J, Oxia, and Robert Dietz. His self-released and label-released material caught the attention of respected individuals from a broad techno spectrum, the likes of Amelie Lens, Joris Voorn, Abstract Division, Fabio Florido, Pan Pot, Deepbass, Ness, Claudio PRC, and Blazej Malinowski, who played his tracks on various occasions. Finally, this can also be a perfect example of how his sound shaped where he stands as a producer now.

his focus and sonic environments are weaved and led by his affiliation with the coldest season of the year, the echoes and the grey scenery during rainfall, the colourful and noisy urban landscape of the city traffic, and the impactful, awe-inspiring creations of architectural nature. His sound has a light, gentle approach combined with minimal elements of hypnotic ambience, distorted textures, and cinematic pads to conjure an aesthetically-pleasing yet deep atmosphere. Autumn is here and so is the 43rd chapter of our podcast. Pius Perplex is the technoid pseudonym of Lander, a “long legged” DJ based in Belgium. As the co-creator of Konfusus Kollektif, he’s organizing events in the Ghent area, as well as managing the Techno stage at the respected Space Safari Festival. Lander has a deep interest in the marriage of Techno and Psychedelia, and is here sharing a live recording of his set at the Ethereal Decibel Festival in Normandy, France. And as we all know Navigare Audio has a great passion for publishing sets from actual events and this one was truly a treat to dive into.

The podcast returns with another chapter and for this one we have the talented Norwegian producer and dj Trøm Borg. Based in Amsterdam he's member of the lovely Profundo Collective and have contributed to the scene for the last couple of years with quality soundscapes ranging from ambient to deep and hypnotic techno. His own releases has landed on well known labels like Oslated, Indefinite Pitch and Deflection Music to name a few, as well his own excellent imprint. Navigare Audio is grateful to have him onboard for our mix series! 

”I recorded this mix during a particularly stressful time, while being away from home for an extended period. So the selection is focused on hypnotic and ethereal soundscapes, packing plenty of drive and energy as the mix progresses. The goal was to create a sonic force strong enough to pull the mind out of its chaotic journey through spacetime and anchor it in the familiar landscape of the body, flowing with every sensation that arise. Whether I succeeded or not is of course in the eye of the beholder, but in any case I really enjoyed the process of creating a contribution to this excellent mix series and I hope that shines through to the listener.”
