John Fernie, riginally from Glasgow, Scotland, has been a figure in the local Scottish electronic music scene since the early 2000s. With a deep-rooted involvement in organizing and performing at events, he has continually contributed to its growth and evolution.
In recent years, Fernie has further honed his sound design through both music production and live DJ sets, leading to performances at events across Europe and beyond.  His signature sound has strong links to emotional pads and thought provoking energies.  He also collaborates with local deep techno mainstays Repart and Deepbass to promote the Orbits event series, and serves as a podcast curator for the respected Norwegian techno platform Monument.
His discography spans a variety of well-regarded labels, including KVLTO, BAHN·, Informa, and Indefinite Pitch, with more work on the horizon as he continues to push his sonic boundaries.
Fernie is also the founder of Space Textures, a platform dedicated to atmospheric deep techno. The label is steadily expanding, showcasing a growing catalog of high-quality releases.

Martyn Päsch continues to rise in the Global Scene of Electronic Music.

In his work as a producer, we can find a wide range of styles varying from Deep Techno, Experimental and Ambient.

In the beginning of 2018, he started his own record label called KVLTÖ RECORDS, focused on Deep Techno, Ambient, Experimental, Hypnotic and Techno sounds.

His world of music is being built in an increasingly distinct style, perhaps as a fixed part of deep techno. Abundance of synth melody with harmony charm. The kick that leads the power and the percussion that supports it. And ironically, the sudden appearance and disappearance of the break makes his music more self established.

In the space where sound is stripped to its essential form, new worlds emerge. For our latest podcast, we welcome Hitam, an artist who operates as a true sonic architect, sculpting sound from its most granular elements. His work masterfully bridges the worlds of deep techno and avant-garde experimentalism, finding profound power not in overwhelming force, but in restrained intensity. The Amsterdam based producer’s ultra finessed sounds have been released on the likes of Hayes, Somov, SYXT as well a string of exceptional recent releases on his own Rhiza Semar label. As a DJ he serves as a resident at the infamous Eerste Communie parties, as well as playing legendary institutions like Tresor, Bassiani, De School and more. 

“For this mix I wanted to trace a descent through shifting temporal layers; beginning in a state of suspension, slowly moving into trance-inducing motion before dissolving again into the subterranean. It travels from fluid, hypnotic rhythm into zones of disorientation and release; a process of acceleration, collapse, and renewal. Recorded as a continuous narrative rather than a set, it mirrors my current pull toward a landscape where ancient ritual and submerged hypnosis blend into an organic accelerated pulse where momentum and meditation intertwine beneath the surface.”

Forget relentless peaks, this is techno that demands deep immersion, challenging yet deeply rewarding, a deep trip of tension and release on a microscopic level. A tale of masterfully executed cerebral hypnosis, told across two chapters of disintegration through terrains that feel simultaneously ancient and futuristic. A dialogue between soil and circuitry, pulse and void.

For our 51st chapter of the podcast we're stoked to present one of the brightest rising stars of the Swedish underground techno scene.

Julia Larsson, known as Psykoterapi, is a Stockholm-based DJ and artist with roots in a small Swedish town, where she first connected with the intimate and vibrant underground scene. Starting out as part of a local collective and event organizer, she eventually stepped behind the decks - and has since established herself as one of Stockholm’s most emerging names, frequently playing both raves and clubs.

Currently holding residencies at the underground concepts Spektrum and Koordinat, Psykoterapi has become known for her high energy yet steady sets. Her sound blends dark, textured soundscapes with tribal grooves and driving rhythms, often breaking patterns with unexpected broken beats. The result is an emotional and ever-evolving journey that keeps the dancefloor moving - energetic, multifaceted, and deeply engaging.
