“Our Story” is the band’s first album, recorded during 2013-2014, and released in 2015. The album includes 12 tracks with some instrumental pieces. 

The majority of the album’s lyrics were written by Jad Brek, a local poet from Occupied Golan Heights. Busher Abu Saleh, and Shadi Abu Jabal also, participated in writing a couple of songs. The Album talks about a range of issues: social, political and the daily struggles of the Arab youth. 

Hawa Dafi utilized its eastern and western musical influences to create a unique sound. The album is sure to take you on a journey with its atmospheric textures and flow of gypsy, energetic sounds.

I dedicate this song to everyone calling for peace around the world.
This piece is taken from the old syrian heritage music. 
A journey takes you back in time to the syrian mosaic heritage.

Oriental mosaic- فسيفساء شرقية

Hijaz is a multi-ethnic group based around the dialogue between the oud and the piano. Hijaz is an Arabic musical scale but also holds a clear reference to jazz. Where Arabic music is the starting point, jazz is the open attitude towards diverse musical cultures.

this is one of the themes i have composed for " Roundtrip " , a film by  the Syrian director  Meyar Al-Roumi.
this piece was recorded between Beirut and Fraizer Park California .
I recorded Buzuk , guitalele , kalimba and melodica 
Miles Jay recorded Lyra , accordeon , contrebass and percussions.
This version is different from the one in the movie. I hope u ll have the chance to see it at the Dubai film festival , if it wins a prize it will hopefully be screened in some theatres around the world. ( finger crossed )
