New Town Ground is Co-owner/Founder of Still Distant Records alongside fellow Glasgow man Paulitical. 

The two also front the Glasgow duo Scottish Power, whom predominantly play live sets, with an EBM, Post Punk & Techno vibe. 

The album - Violent Circles, is the deliberately cheeky & satirical sequel to the Twisted Pop.

A playful sentiment, with a dark twist. Everything very deep sonically, but yet absolutely never to be taken too serious! 

Move To Red  - An introductory track, peppered with audio clues to what is to come in the album ahead.

Natural Ritual - a look to relationships, transatlantic friendships and appreciation to the haste of life.

Violent Circles -  Is the quickest track I have ever done. It just clicked. A parody of our internal Demon.
"It's just me, but AM HIGHER!!"

With Care - Again a satirical chant on the lack of control we used to once enjoy, now that we are governed by Socials
"You're taking the 'Cunt you god dam Troll' " 
Heavy word play on the cunt troll front. 
 
Swallow It Whole - this tracks inclusion symbolises the pivot point towards the birth of the 2nd instalment to the audio triptych. (3rd instalment starts production in summer)
Swallow It Whole was released on Still Distant's well received VA in 21'. The inclusion on Violent Circles, felt essential to the narrative.

Wait to break - An electro big beat instrumental with undulating synth play that hopefully breaks the mould of its predecessors. 

There Will Always be light - The track is a reflection of the current going on's within our social dynamics and pretty symbolic realisation that I was moving away from a period of depression, I once, like may others have endured. 

Hopefully listened with the ethos of mischief and a parody of life. The Album will be more digestible.

My thoughts are... Its the Previous album - Twisted Pop , on Poppers!

G.xist | Gradient Lenses [Nayel 004 : Society Monster]

"Dys Functional Electronic Music X" is a state of the union from Ascione, Carbone, and Pedone that highlights not only their label's scope but its intentions for the future. Ten years in, the trio are just as motivated by broadening club music's horizons as they are filling dancefloors, and that's never more obvious than on opening track 'Mastice Riddim (VIP Mix)' from Shapednoise and Gabber Eleganza. The two producers meet at the exact intersection of their styles, with Pedone splitting Alberto Guerrini's fictile trance arpeggios using his patented hi- definition sound design and trunk-rattling drill rhythms.

TSVI and Randomer excavate a similar mid-point on 'Overbite,' following on from 2021's "Reflex" EP with a booming, mind boggling fusion of warehouse techno and cybernetic dancehall. Pasquale Ascione's contribution 'Plugged (Heavy- Rotation Mix)' is a disarming future-retro cut, distorting vintage breaks with psychedelic bleep techno synths, while Carbone's 'Hypnotic Experimental Dance' does precisely what it promises, blotting grinding hardstyle kicks into dissonant waves of psychedelic electronics. Los Angeles ravers Baseck and Aura T-09 throw shades over the Cali sunshine on 'Angelz', losing gabber rhythms in tweaked DSP fizz but never dropping the crucial momentum.

On the flip side, Italian mainstay DJ Plant Texture turns in a breakbeat slow- burner that sounds like Sheffield via Rotterdam but never dips into empty nostalgia. Russia's versatile Buttechno, meanwhile, brings a weightless sensibility to progressive minimal, layering cauterised harmonics over driving warehouse kicks and dreaming gently of the big room. The compilation switches gears at this point, centering a pair of rave-ready hard dance constructions from fwd-thinking Greek producers DJ Loser and MarcelDune, before grinding to a halt on sci-fi-tinged closer 'Digital Hoarder' from Low Income $quad's Strahinja Arbutina.

Dim light is a record label owner and a DJ based in Berlin.
Being a music nerd since his early youth, he got into listening to electronic music around 20 years ago. After several years of practicing all by himself he started releasing online mixes around 2011.

In 2015 he launched Nemorous Records together with Anja Zaube and after that played a few selected gigs at events like Apathy at Grießmühle, Tokonoma in Kassel oder Smallroom in Bielefeld, sharing the decks with artists like Talker and Oake.

In 2017 he finally started his own brainchild Voidance Records, so far releasing 5 EPs and 2 tapes and hosting 2 showcases in 2019. Voidance Records deals with the darkest strains of the electronic music genre, hosting new as well as established artists like Meer, Chafik Chennouf&Katsunori Sawa and Llimbs, to name but a few.

Dim Light‘s musical influences range from all different genres like Ambient, Black Metal, Electroacoustic music or Techno, which also reflects in his sets.

Ex.Hale is the brainchild of Italian multi-disciplinary artist Francesco Presotto. Already a crew member in the Sonic Groove camp, Ex.hale now joins in on the artist label roster . His debut release titled “Abstract Blue” is an invigorating techno audio strike against cyclical redundancy in today's hard techno scene. Brilliantly crafted, standing out in the crowd, peak time techno across all four cuts. All killer and not one drop of filler here. Highly recommended!
