Motip White continues to chart his own course as we welcome him back to XYZ. The Cologne-based producer has never settled for the predictable norm, working his way through projects from all corners of the musical landscape on his eclectic journey. With releases on the likes of Innervisions & Correspondant, Motip's productions drip in analog tones & bespoke indie-punk influence. We're thrilled to mark his return to XYZ with the Long Shadow EP.

Long Shadow whisks into revolving percussive rhythms, as a signature rising synth elevates energy from the get-go. Motip's vocals cut deep into the track's backbone, as the instrumentals thin to allow space to let the prose to wander. Simply put - this is the sound of Motip White at his very best.

On the flip, sights narrow directly on the dancefloor. Tiny House harnesses a bellowing bassline that shakes the foundation, as ominous melodies & metallic synth-work mobilize momentum. A peak-time affair that showcases Motip's knack for refreshing the ear of seasoned of club heads.

illich Mujica is a Venezuelan born, New York City-bred DJ who plays uplifting melodic tunes blended with dark and mysterious beats. His magnetic presence and spellbinding universe were already displayed at Amaya Society in NYC as well as at Camp Festival 2022 ; also on his own productions and edits, including Portishead’s version of ABBA’s « SOS » , on which one can sense his very personal touch of enlightening darkness. 

With his new E.P named « The Constant Impermanence », Illich Mujica shows that the right track can transcend the opposites, day and night, East and West, light and darkness ; that the appropriate combination of beats and vocals can unlock the doors of our hearts as well as the ones of the clubs. The E.P includes 2 originals tracks and 2 remixes. 

In « The Constant Impermanence » the hypnotic rhythm and vocals are supported by empowering beats in order to board us on a flowing and uplifting journey of resurgence. Where to ? Two ways are already open with remixes by Landikhan who takes « The Constant Impermanence » on a deep yet joyful clubbing path while KARLÏ’s slow motion ethno remix allows to appreciate the original track’s multiple layers even more.

 With his second original track called « Surya Rising », illich Mujica takes us on an introspective trip through space and time starting with meditative vocals by Tory Stolper coupled with outer-space communications that lead to powerful ascending beats : a perfect opening track , from Berlin to Burning Man’s legendary sunrise sets on the Playa, that asserts the artist’s musical signature as well as his committed spiritual quest.

Russian-born, classically-trained producer KatrinKa makes her return to home label Chapter 24 Records with a  top notch collaboration with British producer, DJ, vocalist & multi-instrumentalist Thomas Gandey. The pair provide two tracks on the release in the form of 'The Nameless One' and 'How Does It Feel' . Joining them on the release on Chapter 24 artists Sezer Uysal and Stas Drive as well as label newcomer Tim Engelhardt. After an exciting summer for Los Suruba, the proud founders of Nazca Records and its fascinating story, it´s time to get back to discovering and sharing new music with the world. Alvaro and Delmar welcome Thimble, a talented lad from Malaga, to enrich this eclectic label furthermore. 

Therefore, Thimble becomes a witness of the Nazcas and Viracochas´ story, a tale that has captured us with its symbology and values. In previous releases, we´ve learned that the Viracochas, beings from another world and the Nazcas, a community of sensible music and art lovers have joined forces to beautify the world. 
Thimble´s ‘Signals’ EP shows us just that; it reveals through sound the complexity of the Nazcas and Viracocha´s ways and purpose to heal through music. 
 
You will embark on a four-track journey that starts with ‘Veritas’ where a metallic bizarreness will trap you, followed by ‘Opposite’ a hub of exhilarating synths and abstract ambiences. After this mature mix, Thimble thinks ‘Walking Among Trees’ is a good idea and he is right! This third track rich in inconspicuous percussions and unique FXs simulate a walk among the densest vegetation along a crystal-clear creek. 
Finally, yet importantly, ‘Tribute’ is the vibe changer. The sparkle to the entire EP, a mix of shamanic elements and pure house patterns that accolade sound and melody.

Stuttgart local Johannes Brecht has been a regular on Poker Flat Recordings for a few years, and has also released tracks on labels such as Hamburg’s Diynamic Music. Here, he returns to Steve Bug’s iconic label with EAR - two tracks of slick, powerful Minimal / Deep Tech. State of Consciousness is a sleek and slippery affair - locking into a nagging, hypnotic groove early on before Brecht lays on the vibes with some wonky piano and synths. Endangered Audio Research, from where the release gets its acronym, is a beautifully constructed slice of electronic dance music, with cascading keys and a bubbling, modular motif.
The slightly overdriven synths give Brecht’s tracks a raw, gritty feel that really hits home.
