We premiere new music from Dublin-based Oaklee as the up & coming producer serves a dreamy free download. ‘Colour TV’ is a rolling house groove that pays ode to 90’s deep house, leaning heavily on low-end funk and trance-licked euphoria, while a poignant vocal ties the composition together.

Rising through the ranks of The Camden Academy, studying under the watchful eye of Pusher, Oaklee has been carving out a name for himself in Dublin’s house music scene. Possessing shrewd ear for the house of yesteryear, the young producer strives to bring flavours of Chicago into music that is very much rooted around his hometown of Dublin.

The relatively new name has been turning heads within the last twelve months, reaching a number of milestones in his career, from having his unreleased played on Rinse FM by Belfast native Holly Lester to receiving support from Hammer on BBC Radio 1, the budding producer has been ticking all the right boxes for a new producer on the scene. With new music forthcoming on Homage New York, as well as starting his new Dublin-based party Defiant Sounds, Oaklee is steering in the right direction as we edge closer to 2024.

We feature his latest offering which comes in the form of a heavely free download. ‘Colour TV’ is oozing with etheral house sounds, as he continues to nod his head towards classic 90’s house grooves, while intertwining his love for elated arpeggios and trance-soaked pads that are synonymous with the Dublin sound. An emotional vocal line lies in front of shuffled drums and fluffy synth lines, capturing a vintage moment of house elation.

This week's entry to the Four Four Local Selection Mix Series welcomes Dublin-based DJ and promoter Spek. Having started his musical journey a mere year ago the talented up-and-comer has done an impressive job at turning promoters heads across the city by means of winning various mix competitions for collectives in the city. Showcasing his funky style that is dedicated to sounds of the past in the process.

Next up on the Four Four Local Selection Mix Series is Spek. The talented newcomer has already made a firm mark with numerous shows in the short span that he's been spinning at clubs in the city. Playing for parties like Slither, Somewhere Else and his own party Mystery Events in venues such as Cellar, Wigwam and Farrier & Draper in the process, where he showcased his in-depth mixing quality.

His sound draws clear inspiration from the golden era of techno Spek does a fantastic job of fusing the old with the new in this mix as he features artists such as Dylan Fogarty, Cult, Jon10, DJ Swisherman, Funk Assault and more in this eloquent recording. Showcasing killer technique and a consistent flow over the duration of the hour which really helps to keep the listener engaged.

Spek has also found himself as co-creator of the newly formed party Mystery Events where they threw their debut gig in Wigwam on Culture Night. It featured a solid selection of local artists such as LE4H, Sean Molloy, Daniel Warren, Spek and Cult for his first headline show which was a roaring success. The gig featured a surprise appearance from Dylan Fogarty for the last hour with him and Cult closing the evening out in style. No doubt that there will be more parties where that came from! Gina, aka Hiroshina empezo a interesarse por la
música desde una muy temprana edad, escuchando y
absorbiendo distintos géneros musicales, tocando
instrumentos y produciendo, entre otras cosas.
Hace dos años aproximadamente se adentró
profesionalmente en el mundo del DJing y hoy en día
su sonido se define por géneros como el house,
techno detroit, hipnótico, minimal, rave y hardgroove
mostrando gran versatilidad y un costado distinto en
cada presentación.
En el año 2022 tuvo la oportunidad de presentarse en
ciclos como Ucrania techno, gig techno, Stab techno y
tryp2099 entre otros, y se lanzó como residente de su
propio ciclo, 212 techno.

Providing immaculate grooves on a regular basis, Nordigroove resident Dariüsz is an up and coming dj and producer. Curating some of the finest tunes inspired from real 90's techno he alsways eager to create an ongoing experience while mixing or producing. "Developing my sound with the crowd" as he describes himself. "Playing what I really love and identify myself with". Quoting names like Rene Wise, Maccari or Arthur Robert as his inspiration, his sound changed going down with bpm and creating a darker, more simple groove to play with.
