The Lizard Tree

During Fall 2022 i've started a new set of jams on my Electron Devices. The Digitakt and the Digitone. Inspired by the boot animation and the idea to make a small set of tunes out of those devices the idea of the Pixels EP was born. 
So each tune is named by the four base colors every color display pixels is made from. Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. So i've tried to translate the color in a emotion and the emotion into a sound. Enjoy!

The possibility that there are 9 billion Earth-like planets in our own galaxy (Milky Way) is touched on in the excellent novel 'Bewilderment' by Richard Powers.
Considering the 100-400 billion galaxies estimated in the universe, there may be vast numbers of different life-forms (past or present) around the cosmos. 
Surely some may be generating sound frequencies to excite or entertain others of their kind...or us?

In 1936 a small town suffered plague and pestilence. 11 women gave birth to what the town described as feral, clawed, masked and lethargic￼￼ creatures. The citizens dispatched all but 3 of the mothers but strangely enough let the creatures live. The remaining mothers fostered all of the “children” and were quarantined to an abandoned and barren farm. The farm and its inhabitants became known as Sloth Camp. They were left to fend for themselves, surviving on what little they could grow and animals ( mainly rats) they could catch. An outhouse painted with images of lions and baboons and other creatures from distant lands started being worshipped by the “ children “. This is Sloth Camp...
