With roots in Sweden, Bosnia and Ireland, Marco Borg has spent his life dedicated to music. Starting off with playing all organic genres such as blues and metal before discovering the joys and depths of electronic music, the darker and twisting styles are ever prominent in both his mixes and live performances. 

In the first episode for Submerged In Sound, Marco Borg fuses sounds from labels such as The Gods Planet and Hypnus, with tracks by Ness, Feral and other pioneers of the genre.

Anji's boundless love for electronic music began with a series of outdoor events held on a separate island in Far East of Russia called "Rave Bridge". Now based in Hanoi, Vietnam and she is a HUM studios and Hermosa Community (Moscow) resident DJ. Further delving into the art of DJing and continuing to experiment with multiple genres in one set, she keeps the mood on the dance floor, using a mixture of seemingly incompatible sounds.

Hugh Def keeps a laser focus on unearthing quality selections across a wide spectrum of Electronic, House, Techno & Disco music. He is a dynamic selector with a wealth of knowledge and runs regular nostalgia-fueled visual streams on his twitch channel. Hugh also produces raw House/Techno Beats, with releases on labels such as Vision Collective Recordings, Mood24, Standalone Records, Garden Collective and Solar Phenomena. Exit Loop is his Techno alias, where he specializes in a driving but subtle hypnotic style.

Nikola Brnic, a.k.a. NYXER is a Croatian artist born in Livno on 09.12.1988. Since 2012 he has worked as an image and sound technician in the multimedia sector. Graduated as audiovisual and multimedia electronic technician, he discovered the passion for musical research at the age of 16, ending up becoming passionate about music production. At the age of 18 the need to express himself musically arises, seeing the passion increasing over the years and leading him to experiment with various solutions such as Garage Band, FL studio, korg, moog, Maschine mk3, Ableton, Akai force, Neutron. This journey of musical expression materialized his first single: NYXER - ASTRO produced in 2019 by (MARL MUSIC, Belgian label). 

He has a wide range of unpublished productions of various genres that influence his style. From progressive to Psy and Dark tunes inspired by Berlin Techno and Hard Techno. These are the styles with which he finds the greatest harmony for musical expression. The desire to share this passion led him to organize first small musical aperitifs and after parties in alternative locations. He’s one of the founders of Revolt, organizing showcases in collaboration with many local artists and DJs

Warm up for the weekend with the next episode of Submerged In Sound, as we present you with a heavy hitting set from AYA.

Born in the land of the rising sun and now based in the vibrant city-state of
Singapore, Aya brings a diverse array of influences to her electrifying sets.
Drawing inspiration from the soundscape of dark, hypnotic techno grooves, the
raw and gritty textures of industrial music, and the unbridled euphoria of the
underground scene, Aya has crafted a sound that pushes the boundaries of sonic
exploration. Aya weaves an intricate tapestry of pounding rhythms, hypnotic
melodies, and unexpected fun groovy beats, all fueled by an infectious
enthusiasm that keeps dance floors vibrating till the break of dawn.

The term "artist to watch" gets thrown around a lot these days, especially with the volume of new artists entering the scene with unprecedented access to tracks, information, and technology. Often, however, it's a certain attitude that elevates the true heads above the groundswell of an ocean of new artists, and Connor Wall is unquestionably of this ilk.

Inspired from past, present and future experiences - Connor's creative constancy has allowed him to shape his sound into the organic, weighty, and effective tracks you can hear on labels like Treatment, Float, Phorum and WSNWG.  There is a potent, heart-palpitating sonic representation that accompanies anything Connor does, and part of the reason why he is such an exciting prospect leading into the future. His devotion to a particular sound and approach has driven his ability to grow rapidly since entering the scene just a few years ago, and it is this obsession that will continue to allow him to blossom. He’s an artist to watch by all accounts, and whether it’s DJing or producing, he is emerging as an essential feature of Australia.

Medha is a Leipzig based Dj and promoter as a member of the PVC collective. Since the end of 2021 she is the co-host of the well-known event series aequalis at Ifz. Her passion for technoid music is shaped by her constant search for inspiration and new tracks, which she brings together in her mixes with a mixture of intuition and thought. Influenced by the Berlin and Leipzig culture and club scene, she navigates through an array of techno genres, transitioning from hypnotic and mellow rhythms to atmospheric or groovy. Her sound is characterised by concise basslines and rougher elements on the one hand, but also by deep and driving rhythms and repetitive sounds. Over the last years, she has played in clubs such as Ifz Leipzig, Tresor Berlin, ://about blank, Kalif Storch or Siroco club Madrid.

A staple figure in the Swedish scene for over a decade and core member of the Feieramt resident team, Jessie is a remarkable and versatile DJ with deep musical knowledge and a genuine connection to sound. Her sets embrace progression and beauty, guiding listeners through hypnotic journeys.

Having shared the booth with many of the leading names in techno and electronic music, she has performed at iconic venues such as Bassiani in Tbilisi and Tresor in Berlin, remaining a key figure in the Stockholm scene for many years.

Jessie is also part of the renowned Northern Electronics label, alongside artists like Varg, Anthony Linell, and Evigt Mörker. She frequently appears at their showcases, including a memorable b2b closing set with Anthony Linell at Berlin Atonal in 2023.
