It's August, and we're ready to show you what we've got lined up for these hot summer days — Seasons of Groove by Jude Brown!

If you remember from last year, we released a stellar EP called Sunshine on the New Beginning by TshegoTMM & Vencer Café — two of South Africa's finest up-and-coming producers. That EP featured a remix by Jude Brown, which was a fantastic addition.

We're happy to have Jude back on board with his first original production for Cromarti Records. We believe he's certainly one to watch for his ability to create tasty grooves.

Jude is an artist of unique calibre within the South African deep house scene. His productions and DJ style tend to infuse elements of jazz, funk, garage, and disco. He's known for his versatility — from bouncy grooves to deep, sultry sounds. Whether he's working house floors or disco beach parties, his style always shines through.

To date, his productions have been released on some of the world’s leading labels, including Nervous Records, Salted Music, Papa Records, Sub-Urban, and Moiss Music. On top of that, he also founded his own label, Sandega Records, to create a space for like-minded artists.

To pair with Jude's original, we’ve brought in Jehan from France for remix duties. We’ve had our eye on Jehan for some time and were just waiting for the right track to ask him to collaborate with us. Jude’s track was perfect — and Jehan turned in a version that was exactly what we were expecting for a track titled "Seasons Of Groove".

In addition to his knack for creating deeper, tasteful sounds, Jehan has an exceptional ability to craft grooves with a classic flair — the kind you can’t help but nod your head to, and flare your nose like something funky’s cooking in the kitchen. We think you’ll know exactly what we mean when you hear his version.

Playing at BM is such a wild card, so many vastly different vibes and qualities to each set depending on the camp, car, set up, crowd, weather and time of day or night. The vibe at Ego Trip was such a treat for us! They created an extremely cozy enveloping bohemian victorian zone with gorgeous couches, sweetly dimmed colorful lanterns, rugs, mirrors, bar, and the name sakes' thematic beauty tables where you can receive a makeover;)

So funny how the name Ego Trip can ring some little reactive bells, but the reality of their camp was so lacking in pretentiousness and gently disarming that it ended up being the set where we and the crowd went so deep on a very internal dance experience. And that profound vibe pulled one of the most immersed sets out of us we’ve played this whole year. It seemed like a mind meld where we all time traveled to return feeling like we accomplished something very healthy for our minds, bodies and souls.
