During her residency at ARCAM (Architecture Center Amsterdam), Afaina de Jong created a series of podcasts exploring feminist theory in relation to architecture and urban space. In this episode, she speaks with Nirmal Puwar, a scholar examining the relationship between people and space. In her book Space Invaders: Race, Gender and Bodies Out of Place (2004), she explores the dynamics of inclusion and exclusion within institutions.

Space of Other, a submission for the Dutch Pavilion, was presented at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2021.

Feminist Spatial Practice Podcast with Leslie Kern (Feminist City)

In deze podcast praten we met gasten uit verschillende disciplines over de ontwikkeling die dit gebied doormaakt. Thema's als de openbare ruimte, gentrificatie, kunst in de publieke ruimte, evenementenbeleid in Amsterdam komen aan bod.

Stichting NDSM-werf beheert en programmeert deze unieke vrijplaats in Amsterdam-Noord. De voormalige scheepswerf is het toneel van toonaangevende festivals, evenementen en kunst in de openbare ruimte. Daarnaast is de werf ook de thuishaven van talloze kunstenaars en creatieven.
