It’s WEEK 27 of The Disco Waltons Mix Sessions and this week, London is calling with a certified spicy groove connoisseur: Pete Ellison!

Pete’s been concocting dancefloor recipes since 1998 , been there, done it, with a few bumps, rips, and tears… and still got the matching shirt to prove it. His musical passion runs deep  from disco, nu-disco, soul and funk, then out of nowhere he’ll chuck in tech house, breaks, trance, melodic techno or a bit of progressive  that’s Pete’s wild squirrel side right there.

Back in the early 2000s, Pete ran his word-of-mouth club night Ultrafunk  five glorious years of sold-out chaos and pure dancefloor unity. years of late he is part of London’s collective Serendipity..., turning up at all sorts and throwing underground parties, boat bashes, oh oh a dungeon of a French château,, woodland shindigs u name it petes got the party itineraries ...

Paul has DJ’d around the many pubs & clubs of the North-East since finding his love of dance music, playing his usual style of funky soulful house & disco. He's also always had a soft spot for edits so you’ll usually find the odd 1 or 2 popping up in his sets.

The NDYD Radio Show EP416

On this weeks Disco Walton's Mix series we are honouring our dear friend Stephen Richards who sadly passed away last week. Without a doubt without Stephen's influence none of us would have ever met, his Disco Daze show on a friday night was a staple in the diary where like minded folk would gather on a friday night to listen to the cutting edge music he had curated for his show, the banter and gifs would flow in the chat room and it was always the perfect start to the weekend. He was a fantastic producer and DJ who helped to shape the NuDisco scene and more importantly he was a great friend, the support he gave to many was both invaluable and was given selflessly.
So for tonight's show it was important to us to pay our respects to the great man, so we went into the vaults and we will again air the mix he did for us back in 2023, so In hour 1 we have the man himself with a superb deep, chugger of a mix and then he is followed in hour 2 by his close friend Esteban with an energetic peak time party belter, it really is an amazing 2 hour show.

This is my second recording on the radio show from this upscale underground and I went DEEP. Not only because I was opening before the DEEP master, Marques Wyatt but also because this set was a late night set that started at 1am. I cant believe this is the 100th Episode! We have not missed one, meaning that for 100 weeks you've had a different episode of great music. So what is so special about this episode? First of all we start off with our Label Boss Kris Santiago's (@krissantiago) debut single on our own label! And it was worth the wait. Besides that this two hour special episode are tracks that you've never heard on any of the 99 previous episodes. Not an easy task. These are mainly tracks that I listen to in the car or when I'm doing stuff at home. Basically my personal favorites. I wanted to share them with you and I hope you will enjoy.

Ricardo Torres is a West Coast DJ whose sound blends deep, soulful house and disco with the smooth, sun-kissed energy of Los Angeles. His mixes are crafted for true dance floor devotees—uplifting, groovy, and deeply rooted in the underground.

Ricardo began his DJ journey in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, later discovering Chicago House and falling in love with its raw emotion and rhythm. After moving to Los Angeles in 1995, he found inspiration in the city’s soulful spirit and from influential DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs.

An early pioneer of online mix sharing in 2000, Ricardo quickly gained international recognition, leading to global performances and radio syndication. In 2016, he partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD) to launch the NDYD Radio Show, a weekly showcase of modern Nu Disco and soulful house that continues to attract a devoted worldwide audience.

Across decades and evolving trends, Ricardo’s mission remains the same: to share music that uplifts, connects, and celebrates the enduring groove of house. The NDYD Radio Show airs live every Saturday on d3ep.com—1 PM in Los Angeles, 3 PM in Chicago, 4 PM in New York, 9 PM in London, and 6 AM Sunday in Sydney—bringing the West Coast vibe to listeners around the globe.
