Their mission is to spread good vibes to the world by promoting modern Deep House, Deep Disco, Nu Disco, Edits and the likes through music production and events all over Europe.  He also works closely with DEEP in a number of ways.  We were pleased to have him put on his dj hat and rock the DEEP Lounge for us.

This version of ‘Piece of Me’ by Electronic Artist, Should Know Better, retains the heart of the song with the original tracks vocals and lead guitar as the base for the remix, but blending 4/4 kick and various house elements.  Folk and house music combined….who knew!

Last week's mix was mainly mid tempo edits but with this one I picked up the pace with proper house. Since I'm lazy, the majority of the these tracks come from my Toolroom and Salted Music playlists. Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. In 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, where the city’s sun-drenched, soulful vibe and influences from DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs drew him toward the deeper West Coast sound.

In 2000, Ricardo pioneered sharing his mixes online, a bold and innovative step that garnered him international recognition. This exposure led to global performances and opportunities, while he also became a syndicated radio host on satellite and online platforms.

Around 2016 Ricardo partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD), a leading advocate for the Nu Disco genre. Their collaboration birthed the NDYD Radio Show, which Ricardo hosts weekly, showcasing top global talent and steadily growing a loyal listener base. For Ricardo, Nu Disco offers a modern bridge for the soulful West Coast vibe to resonate with newer generations.
